COC WHO DECIDED THAT IT IS AN APOSTATE BOOK !
by Blueblades ini know the society did.but on what basis?
have they given evidence of any apostate material from crises of conscience, that stands up?ray was disfellowedshipped for eating a meal with peter and that is not apostascy.
so,on what basis is the book declared apostate material.i have not found any evidence from the society that points to apostate material from the book itself.surely they must of read it to make such an announcement to the rank and file not to read it.

Were All Early Christians Preachers?
by OHappyDay inreading the book of acts and the letters of paul do not bear out the dogma that all the early christians preached.
there are no "service meetings" in the new testament that prepare the average christian for a public ministry.
reading accounts from contemporary first and second century christians indicates that it was the example of christians, not the preaching by all, that primarily drew nonbelievers to christianity.. it is significant that the instructions to preach that are in the new testament are addressed to "elders" and "overseers" like timothy.

"Religions other than jws have grown at rates that are often much faster than the rate of jw growth. Evidently, somebody somewhere was getting the word out, but not necessarily by means of a door-to-door campaign" We all know the history of religion = Politics. Many, if not all, political leaders used religion to attract followers. This is how religious organizations have spread all around the globe.

Is God an international terrorist?
by BeelzeDub inthe recent algerian earth quake has claimed over 1,000 lives.
quakes hit without warning, indiscriminately killing hundreds in just a matter of seconds.
quakes strike terror in the hearts of people who then become so gripped with fear they are driven from their homes.

Think aabout it. Would god know that the planet wouldnt be a paradise-looking place, but a place with hundreds of thousands living in a poor and overpopulated city, like the one in Algeria?

Armageddon & 9/11
by Black Man inwhat's up, people?
been a while since i've posted.
anyhow, just thinking about 9/11 the other day as i was watching a special on tv which has made me realize that for years we were part of an organization that has looked forward to the death of the vast majority of mankind in much the same manner as the 9/11 tragedy (check out some of the pictures and witness porn from older publications especially).

" I'm sure that there where lots of JW's who were happily anticipating that the World Trade Center incident marked the start of the end." I know of many JW's that didnt think that. I can't think of one W who would. Although there must be some.

Yes, rocketman. But one would think a follwer would participate in some kind of preaching activity, specially thoese who are joyeous about Christ that moves them to do so.
