Who are the 24 Elders?
by LittleToe inrevelation 4, 5, 11 & 19 talk of twenty four elders, before the throne of god.. the wts interpretation has them as the anointed in heaven, but that just doesn't wash, as they are seen to be observers of events that apparently involve folks still on earth.
by their account they have 23.5 elders in heaven and half a body on the ground, so to speak.. any ideas who these are?.
(i have an speculation, which i'll mention later).

I am a member of the Governing Body of Jehovahs Witnesses. I am 120 years old, I pee in my pants, drink prune juice, have visions, take anti depressants, masturbate frequently, think it's funny to make up new rules for my 6 million worshippers to follow, don't know much about this new internet thing, and I think vibrating butt plugs are the best thing since inflatable gay jay dolls. Nice to meet you.

Will the Internet bring down the watchtower Bible and Tract Society
by frankiespeakin inin the united states i keep hearing about how nobody sees the witness is going door-to-door and more, or at least not as often as they used to.
i also heard a report from england recently which stated to the same effect.. what do you think?
do you think the internet is the watchtower society's worst nightmare?.

YES. It's starting to unravel. I can feel it. I did'nt before. Now I do.
In talking to people from the hall lately I am noticing a huge amount of sarcasm in regards to the Org. People are behaving a lot differently than before. Attendance has been dropping lately, a lot. In fact I was told there was a special needs talk given the other night on the attendance issue. Attendance was up from what I could tell just a few months ago, but for some reason it's apparently dropped a lot. In fact, there was a witness friend who referred to a "jw discussin board" during a conversation we were having over the weekend. I looked at her quizically, and said nothing. She paused and resumed the conversation, but it was weird. If you're out there, you know who you are, and it's cool. I won't tell on you(lol).

How Extreme Will Witnesses Become?
by metatron ini think this is a question worth considering - just how extreme will witnesses become?.
first, the hierarchy: there are numerous accounts stretching back for years of gb members skipping meetings,.
ignoring field service and treating "vital" doctrine in a cavalier fashion.

WATCHTOWER IS DUMBING DOWN
by integ infrom what i've noticed lately, the wts seems to be explaining everything away with a new approach; that of dumbing everything down to just a couple of key points in their everchanging, contradictory, edicts and doctrine.
they seem to be avoiding 'deeper' scriptural interpretations that invariably get them into trouble with people who actually don't take everything the fds say as absolute truth, and instead are feeding the rank and file and the "doubters" that dare question the changing doctrine, with a couple of what they feel are key "truths".. 1) who else is using god's name today?
2) who else are doing "god's work" of preaching the good news of the kingdom?.

I realize that the Tower still engage in scriptural jibber-jabber in the magazines, but these are the pat answers i've been getting when i've inquired of our "Gift's in Men". And who ever i'm lucky enough to engage in any kind of discussion (that by some miracle may contain an exchange of free speech).
There you go, that's it, . What else can you say?. I'm so happy that now all I have to do now is consider those two fine points, and everything makes sense again.. Thanks Watchtower.
Any thoughts?

Did you really believe?
by barbar ini am interested to know whether jw's or ex jw's on this board really did believe 100%.
did you have doubts all of the time, did you have some confusion or did you never doubt at all?
i recognise that most on this board will have had doubts at the end but was this always the case when you were a good dub?
