to all the mommy's out there...did you deliver vaginally or by c-section?.
i was fortunate enough to deliver both my children vaginally although i came close to a c-section with my son.
he was in the posterier position.
I had a vaginal birth, took 12 hours with 4 hrs 23 min pushing. My hips were not quite wide enough but she had dropped into the birth canal. I had a 4 inch incision. She was 8 lbs 13 oz.
She is 15 now.
I couldn't walk or sit without pain for 4 days. I had no insurance so I had to be back to work in 3 days.
I chose not to have any more children. I had to make payments to the hospital for 5 years due to the no insurance thing.

i was disfellowshipped and i posted about it here.. i wrote an appeal letter, and wrote about it here.
so, i just got home from a weeks vacation, i was home for 3 hours.
I have carefully read this and your many previous posts leading up to this point.
Being raised by an elder father my entire life, I know lots about the "legal procedure for disfellowshipping". You were not disfellowshiped in the first place, or weren't disfellowshipped by the book due to there being no judicial commitees. The elder group made a mistake in disfellowshipping you only on the word of two witnesses. There MUST be a judicial committee as well. You were wise to respond within 7 days to appeal.
However, you are on shaky ground now and are close to another go round. If you intend to continue to post here, etc., you must lay low within the cong. or a true judicial committee is around the corner. Or don't go back at all, this would be my choice.

ok, all you "bleedin' hearts" get ready to flame me..... i have been watching the developments in the devastated areas like everyone else, and something has begun to strike me.
there seems to be tens of thousands of people who are just sitting around waiting for help to miraculously drop out of the sky, and the longer they sit idle, the madder they get that the government hasn't swooped in and immediately solved all their problems.
i have a few questions about this mindset:.
You must be very young and naive to make comments like this. In a similar vein, why didn't many of us just leave the WTBS earlier than we did? We should hgave known better right?
Many New Orleans residents have lived through hurricanes in the past and have emergancy kits but this one was much bigger and more destructive than in the past.
All roads are closed. Walking to higher ground on foot is difficult if you are alone, but many have families in tow. People are being instructed by police and other authorites to stay where they are.
Maybe instead of wasting time on foolish posts, you could open your wallet and make a contribution to the Red Cross. www.RedCross.org
A very dear friend of mine, a very intelligent, young and healthy educated person, has not been seen in a week. Of course, I fear the worst. He did try to get out, he would have contacted me if he could. The last I heard he was on the road north.

yesterday i quit smoking.
its something i have been thinking of trying for a while, and i finally got round to it.
it was a tough day and a sleepless night, i probably had a couple of hours, and i am under no illusions about today being any easier.
I wish you strength and detirmination to complete this difficult goal you have set for yourself.
You are adding years to your life by making this choice!
this got me thinking when i read another post "not knocking".
we could count the 3rd and subsequent return visits, a bible study, if you read a scripture.
these were called door stop studies.
I was a regular pioneer and and the PO's daughter, so I had very high standards to live up to.
I did not count it as a study unless the person agreed to it and it was as least 15 minutes. It usually went on for an hour.
I spent all morning in the door to door work then the early part on the afternoon on return visits, finishing the day with one or two hour long Bible studies. I had an impression field service report. I worked hard at it. I worked hard at it for 5 full years, never missing my 1000 hours in service per year.
As an adult now, I find this has helped me with goals in sales and with organization.
I just wish all of that time had been spent in college instead of wasting my time spreading mistruth and false hopes.
I guess we all live and learn, right?

Do you open your studies with prayer? If so do you take turns praying to whatever is an individual’s idea of who God is? Yes, we pray, to the real Almighty God, not the judgemental God JW's think God is.
If you don’t pray and ask for guidance then how is Jehovah supposed to know that you are looking for truth and pure worship? Because God is Almighty and all knowing. He listens to all sincere prayers. You judgemental pharisee!!

i just came from what will probably be the last conversation i'll ever have with my father.
earlier in the day, i'd talked to my mom and she asked what i was up to - translated "what are you doing with yourself since you aren't going to meetings or out in service?
" i told her i'd been discussing the bible with an informal group of people and reading older wts literature.
I can relate. My father met my husband for the first time, after being married for three years. I had been out for ten plus years, hoped things had changed, went back for about 10 meetings and one assembly. This was the conditions my father needed to see to grant me a visit.
Conditional love, wouldn't you say?

I read it all. What a sacrifice you make to continue to attend meetings. But I really apreciate your time and effort. It helps me realize I have made the right choices.

for a learning experience, i decided to stray from the active ones and see what everyone else was doing during this convention.
perhaps this would be special since the whole theme of the dc was "godly obedience".
I went to the assembly last year (long story) after many years of not attending anything. I was seated, by the attendant in the high nose bleed seats where the other inactive people sit. I listened to all the talks, took notes and came to a final decision in regard to JW's. I did not walk isles ever or walk the parking lot.
