4Prince retiring some songs
by jws ini just got an e-mail update from summerfest (big music festival in milwaukee wisconsin) announcing that prince was going to be one of their acts.
apparently to boost sales they also gave this tidbit:this could be the last chance to see him perform some of his most well known hits before retiring those songs from his live line-up.. .
hmmm... are the elders putting pressure on him?

The grandson i never got to know
by kls inlately there has been threads on family members passing and each time i read them it bring up my grandson devon.
i think of him often but these sad threads of family dieing makes me wonder what he would look like ,what his interest would be.
he would have been 7 the first of march but it was not to be.

To all that read my post and have lost a child or grandchild, it was not my intension to make anyone relive the loss they had of loosing a child . I am very sorry that i had you relive such a sad time in you're lives. I feel bad that i posted my story but i feel you are all my friends and wanted to share this with all of you. On a positive note i feel better telling you all ,it was like i was able to tell the world about Devon.

I have no doughts there will be more. Every newapaper in every town should ask for victims to come forward. How many jw children are being abused by someone and they are going to elders for advice and returning home to be reabused, maybe someone suspected something ,say a neighbor but the neighbor assumes they are jw's and would never think of molesting's a child because of their bible beliefs and the neighbor never heard these lawsuits against the jw.
Maybe after reading this in their local paper they would call authorities just to check things out and maybe save a silent child. -

Need advice for back pain
by new light indoes anyone have some real-world advice for lower back pain / sciatica?
i've had it for years and it doesn't get any better or worse overall, but i'd like to lessen or eliminate it?
would a really good mattress make a difference?

My husband has had sciatia for many years, he tried everything, cortisone shots and steroids injected right into the spine nothing worked. Then a women told him about this chiropractor, i am not real enthused about them but she insisted he could help,it is not a cure all but with treatments it did help. He still has moderate pain but nothing like it was.So if you know of someone that could refer you to a good chiropractor it is worth a shot,also don't believe that a hard mattress is good for you'r back ,it does not conture to the spine and can make matters worse.

When my daughter was 8 months pregnant a routine ultrasound was done ,on the ultrasound a small mass was found on his kidney, after consulting a specialist he felt the mass was non threatning but they would watch it for any changes and the baby should be born at Children's hospital so he could be tested and watched. Two weeks had passed and my daughter was visiting friends 3hrs from home when her water broke.She went to the hospital and deliveried what looked like a healthy boy, but within a few hrs they could tell something was very wrong. I don't know the circumstances ,i was not there but immediatly took him to surgery and found this mass had grown so large that it cut off all blood to his internal organs which were now dead. As i waked into the neonatal intensive ward i could this little baby hooked up to so many tubes ,you wouldn't know there was a baby.
Tha doc would come by and smile as we knew Devons time was runnig out and it did within 5hrs of me getting to the hospital the tubes were taken off and he closed his eyes and opened them for the last time. After the grieving the nurse came in to ask us how we wanted to care for his body, i told them we wanted him to close to our home and that i would contact a funeral home near us ,and i did. That was the easier part, they asked me how i wanted to take him home? i said a hearse, well after contacting funeral homes the cost was a thousand dollars, money i didn;t have.
The hospital administrater came to me and said the other ulternative is for you to drive him home in you're car . So that is what i did .I drove 3hrs with my grandson in my car to get to the funeral home so we could bury him in our home town My daughter was a mess but we mad funeral plans and decided to have a closed casket to save others from see this little one dead. Well i have draged this on long enough so anyway , this is the grandson i never knew. -

What are you paying for gas in your neck of the woods?
by imallgrowedup inthe price of gas is getting rediculous here in northern california!
i just paid $2.11 for a gallon of regular gas; premium was selling for $2.33 a gallon!

My husband is using the web
by kls inlast night i convinced my jw husband to start using the computer.
i am not good with it but enough to get the info.
for him this is a really big deal, he seemed scared at first ,probably because their are all apostates on the web and a demon may jump out to get him.
