are their any former atheist/agnostic on here who reverted to christianity or a belief in god.
i became an atheist back in july and it was the most unfulfilling depressive period of my life.
i'm now starting to rebuild my relationship with god and i'm already starting to feel a lot better.
@ The Scotsman - I think they meant there is no clear tangible evidence for a supernatural creator.
Every piece of evidence worth consideration that any theist or agnostic has offered me re the existence of god has proven easily refutable using logic/science.
i am getting tired of all the so called jesus followers that simply want me dead .

i was just thinking about how humans being imperfect and satan's influence was the root of everything bad that anyone has ever done.
well i know that apparently everyone is vulnerable which got me thinking about what "bad" things people have done while they were a jw.
i'll start it off.
After one particuarly boring and frustrating meeting a couple of month before I left for good I told a ministerial servant to "F*ck off" when he accosted me in the Kingdom Hall entrance loby regarding field service.

My theory is that it doesn't matter as the Bible's a load of poorly writen mystical rubbish.

The Governing Body will do nothing because this blood moon business is no more than the paranoid ramblings of some fundementalist Christian nutjob. I heard all this a few month ago as this Pastor John Hagee guy has a program explaining it all playing on an endless loop on a satelite TV channel over here in Britain.
It's all utter drivel and I got into the habit of putting it on just to amuse people when they came to visit.

And hopefully sooner rather than later there will only be atheists. No Christians, no Buddhists, no Mulims or Jews, just people living in harmony with logic and reason. A truer paradise than heaven ever could be.

so as i looked at the material i was struck by a few thoughts about this article.. par.
6 glossed over the idea that we can pray for ourselves, or our needs.
9-11 on one hand they say jesus did not harshly criticize peter or the apostles for falling asleep instead of praying continually, and on the other hand make veiled threats if we should feel tired out by life.

The Bible is an unattributed arbitrarily compiled self-contradicting unscientific historicaly unsound collection of ancient mystical writings supposedly inspired (whatever that means) by a long silent hebrew sky god (who also happens to offer no tangible evidence that he even exists) so why should we care what it says? What makes it so special in comparision to all the hundreds of other ancient mystical writings?
I mean are much translated and open to interpritation 2000+ year old writings the originals of which no longer exist the best way almighty all knowing god, the wisest, most loving and holy creator of everthing that ever was, is or will be could think of to communicate his message? That's just one of the massive logic holes with regards to Christian belief that finally convinced me that Christianity was wrong once I left the JWs.

Welcome to jehovahs-witness.net. If you're interested in learning about JW doctrine I would say the best place to go is jwfacts.com as it is all but 100% impartial and you won't get any ex-JW now whatever denomination Christian telling you their biblical interpritation is better than the JWs.
However, if you're interested in debating the Bible and Christian beliefs then this is a good place as any.
