Do You Think That Jehovah's Witnesses Are Basically Good People?

we've all been affected by negative things because of the organization.
but do you think that as a group, jehovah's witnesses are bad, or do you think that most of the witnesses that you know are inherently good people??

Depends on what is meant by "good". If one is talking about not committing immorality, well, yes, perhaps, because in some ways and on some levels, there is a degree of accountability. For the rank and file JWs, someone is usually watching and will "turn you in" in a heartbeat if you mess up that way.
If one is talking about genuine "good heartedness", no, I don't think there are any more "inherently" good Witnesses than persons in any other religion.

shooters? Drinking before meetings? Anyone?
by goofy inok, up to the last i would make sure and have a few drinks before i went to the meeting.
it helped me relax as i am very hypertense and up to the last was going crazy listenning as i truly believe the speakers were getting more boring than before.
i never did but thought it would be cool to sneak a shooter in your purse and down it in the restroom mid-way, but i can't drink hard liquor straight, so that didn't happen.

Bought 'True Believer" and 'Illusions'
by Satanus ini bought 'the true believer' by eric hoffer, and 'illusions' by richard bach (started reading it).
among other things i did, i also bought a pound of starbucks coffee, and watched the sunset.
not a bad day.

I didn't get the job.

i didn't even get called for an interview.
a friend called and told me there was a new girl working at the job i applied for.. tried not to get my hopes up too high, but i do feel a bit down.

Princess Diana.....remember??!!

but tonight i was thinking it must be almost 6 years since diana was killed in that car crash in paris, and i was thinking about the outpouring of grief that happened not just here, but around the world.
i never was one of the ones that went to london on the day of her funeral as at the time i was flying back from a holiday in turkey, but i remember it appearing in newspapers out there and people of different nationalities coming up to me and expressing their condolences, particulary this french bloke hugging me whilst i was sitting around the pool a couple of days after the crash!.

Speaking for myself, I spent EVERY LAST CENT that my ex gave me for child support on my daughters, and then most of my money also. I gave them the things they never had when he was around.
