  what are some of your favorite jw catch phrases?.

  "food at the proper time".

  "spiritualy weak".

  "You should do - - -" (as in more service . . . . MORE!. . . . MORE!!)

  "You ought to do - - -" (as in read your bible from cover to cover - - - for the rest of your jw life)

  "You are supposed to - - -" (as in attending all the weekly meetings, no excuses or exemptions)

  "The elders said to - - -" (just about anything, I knew an elder once who told my son he could not wear colored shirts to the meetings . . . only white ones. . . .)

  "You can't - - - -" (as in limiting one's potential thus keeping people co-dependent on the organization)

  the sons lawyer wants to talk to sylvie ahead of time.

  Having A Merry Xmas...Am I! :)

  had some problems with the heater going out and then the electricity had a bit of an outage problem and had to call pg&e was told it could be a wait and then christmas came early for us!

  the wonderful pg&e guy showed up soon after the call in to them, and he fixed the problems!

  Some will go back

  i would like to know how many people here are thinking of going back to the hall if the elders go and visit them.

  we had stories of people telling the elders that they had enough and wanted to get out.

  on the other hand, i am sure a few will go back, but we will not hear their stories as much because they fear the reaction of this board.

  well dec 17 is the first day that i finally got out of the borg, thanks for all your help in making me see the real world.. .

  i wrote my letter after many arguements with my highly fanatic jw wife of which i think divorce will probally follow as has been witnessing to me ever since my doubts 2 years ago.

  ok so its hard, no firends, well at least i do have a few here.

  Random acts of kindness

  wt taught us that people outside the borg were wicked, selfish, and no good.

  my experience with non jws has been quite the opposite.

  last night some friends (never been jw friends) took mr rocky to dinner for his birthday.

  These kinds of occurances have been my experience as well, since I left the JW's. Interestingly, when I was a JW we were TOLD that JW's were the only ones with these kinds of stories to relate!!

  Would some of us be better off as Witnesses?

  i have often wondered if many people would be better off if they stayed witnesses.

  some people i have known have really gone off the deep end after they left the watchtower.

  most all of my family have left now (not due to me as i was cut off from them for years) and many others i know who have left are now bitter atheists or have become pagans and worship stones or new ageers playing with crystals.

  Some better off as JW's??? ... Bite your tongue!!!!!

  Ex JW's are free to choose beliefs that WORK for them, since the JW philosphy did not fly.

  Personally, the athiests I know are not bitter, and New Agers do not "worship" or "play" with stones.

  Of course the WT has some hint of truth, ... who of us would have got sucked in if it was completely ungrounded and illogical???

  As for morality, my choice is to not make judgments on the free choices that other people make.

  Psssst ... are you secretly a jw??? ... Just curious ... 'cuz you have the lingo for it.

  To Wednesday, ... I saw "Chocolat" ... the movie. The town was not nearly as rigid as the JW's I know ... hehehe!!! Loved your observations on it!!!

  i just love how alot of you are going back to college or have graduated.i have been inspired!who else is in college,has graduated,or is thinking about going?its never too late.
