according to the wts, joe hoba didn't destroy adam and eve when they sinned, because that would have only proven his power...that he could destroy that which he created.
he allowed them to stay alive and multiply so that he could prove the rightness of his rule and to answer satan's criticism.

as dates come and go, we hear about ''new light'', but according to the wt :-a new view of truth never can contradict a former truth.

The only place I've heard 2034 being discussed as a possibly important date is on this board. My family are all still Dubs and none of them think that 2003 WT article was suggesting 2034 as significant. My mother thinks the Big A is coming this year for no other reason than gut feeling, and I have a great aunt who expects it every October, so they're not averse to entertaining dates.
Are we possibly projecting a little? We have enough sh*t on them without making it up.

Tell them you're depressed and having doubts and that you're taking a break, let them "shepherd" you no more than twice then say you'll contact them if you need them. Be firm. Crucially, you have to stop hanging out with Witnesses so that you're not percieved as a threat.
No one's going to make me run away from a city I love.

Needle exchange opened today across from my shop
by orbison11 ini (we) are fuming, chilliwack is a small town outside vancouver , bout 100,000. our only needle exchange was ousted from their temporary spot to right across from my shop, i am a small nail/esthetics women only shop,,,,,needless to say i am livid, along with the senior condo ($180,000) owners across and beside.
i, along with a retired prominent lawyer, and many businesses, a[t managers are going on an all out assault.

Needles exchanges don't work. Addicts should be rounded into institutions and drug dealers shot. Period. Let's take the Singaporean apporach, I mean, we've already lost our democracy.
Needle exchanges do work in reducing the spread of infection and research indicates that there is not an increase in intravenous drug use where an exchange is available. See the Report on the Global HIV/AIDS epidemic, June 2000 courtesy of UNAIDS.

About 10 years ago I attended a debate between Dawkins and a Bishop of the Anglican Church (his name escaps me). Intriguingly, Dawkins confessed to having a hole in his life, one that left him feeling slightly empty. He assumed believers filled this with faith. Looks like he's now filled that hole.

What is the oldest witness publication you actually remember?

but the oldest one you recall studying when you 'got the truth' or as a child?.
i remember "let god be true" - 'babylon the great has fallen'- and 'paradise restored - paradise regained' [the big orangish/pink book - hope i got the name right] - all 50's early 60's books.

I remember looking through the Paradise book as a child, but I loved the pictures. They were so fantastically fifties looking, sort of B-movie. I think my parents had labelled all the main characters as an aid to teaching me to read.
But the first bookstudy I recall was the yellow book with a blue embossed title I think. Guess it must have been God's Kingdom of a Thousand Years as previously mentioned. Was it based on Isaiah? Whatever, it was tedious.
