'bout 3 or 4 years before i left the borg i ran into a dub acquaintance that i hadn't seen in a while while grocery shopping.
i was at her congo for 5+ years, and she knew who i was.
as i approached her she quickly looked away and started looking at some items on the shelf.

katie and i just finished a 3-day marathon "the landmark education forum.
let me just say, our "cult" red lights began flashing big-time within the first 1/2 day.
cellomould started a jw.com thread about this "forum" last year http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.aspx?id=22167&site=3 nobody came back about any experiences with landmark.
So, What was your first clue??

for the following to make any sense to you, i must explain what this performer means to me.
do any of you have a favorite artist?
for older members, perhaps it is the beatles or elvis.
Anytime things work out against the odds, I think the same thoughts. I would have prayed like mad as a JW and then credited God with the results when things turned out, and blamed my lack of faith when they didn't. Now, I have to wonder "Why?" Why do things work out the way they do? Is it all just fate or coincidence?
My SO sums it up nicely, he always says "things have a way of working out" or, when I'm stressed about how I'll make ends meet or some such trivial matter he'll say "if it's meant to be, it'll happen" I'm learning to relax and let life flow, like he does. I think he's a good influence on me.

today i found out that in our congregation a married man was accused by his nephew (not a jw) of pedophile acts commited over 10 years ago.
the accusation came out only two years ago when the nephew grew up.
the grandmother of this youngster (mother-in-law of the accused) approached the elders of her congregation with this information.
I'm sure no one in his new cong (other that the elders) knows about his perverted nature, and if you try to tell any one in his new cong, you could be disfellowshiped for slander...
I have personally seen a couple cases like this and heard of several more, its so common its nauseating!
Just be glad he's not a threat to your kids any more. Contacting the Silent Lambs is a good idea, just don't get caught if you want to remain in "good standing"

it was kind of a western sci-fi combo and, in my opinion, the best thing to happen to tv in years.

It was kind of a western sci-fi combo and, in my opinion, the best thing to happen to TV in years. It was on just before "John Doe" which had a some potential but quickly crapped out. Fox, in all it's wisdom, decided to keep "John Doe" and cancel FireFly. They showed the pilot last, instead of first, and after they had decided to cancel it... kinda backwards.
There is some talk of UPN picking up the series, but I'm not holding my breath.
I don't think I really have a point here, i'm just really disapointed.

a co-worker who sits across the isle from me was recently arrested for molesting a 10 year old girl.
my employer has let him come back to work since he has not been convicted yet.
the rest of the staff were notified by management to not talk to this guy about anything non work related.. it is really going to be hard not so say something to this slug.. what would you do if you had to sit next to a pedophile at work?
LovesDubs.. You are absolutly right. I thought about that while typing the above. I'm a little ashamed that I didn't think of it sooner. I'll start making a list of whom to send "anon" letters to. This guy is a creep and they all need to know it, whether they do anything about it or not.
