No, I never thought I'd see the day, what's next? Peace in the middle east?

apparently the shape of the seat was much debated.
channel 4 even had an interview with dup and sinn fein mps engaged in cheerful banter.

..for all of you who logged onto my thread for all the wrong reasons ..good for you!!..lol!
!.....the "bristle" dart board is considered the best dart board.others are made of compressed paper or composition.the earliest dart boards were made of elm.....in very poor villages that had no wood.they would lay the village idiot over an empty beer barrel and use his bum for a dart board.as long as his beer glass was full he didn`t mind..theres an advantage to using a village idiot`s bum as a dart board.you always know when you got a bulls-eye!the village idiot would get a very suprised look on his face, raise his shot glass and shout"whu-hoo!
"..anyone who got a bulls-eye had to buy the village idiot a shot of whiskey..it was only fair..lol!
My husband has a dartboard. He was always looking for a good place to put it up. We moved a lot, and being in rentals makes it dificult.. they don't like it when you put lots of little holes in the walls, lol. We finally moved into a place with a garage and lots of room and he put it up. I had never thrown a dart before, so he showed me how. I whipped his ass three times in a row. We haven't ever played since.. huh, guess he wasn't that into it after all.
(I have great beginers luck.. and I probably wouldn't ever be able to beat him again, but don't tell him that )

Isn't it ironic that we get mad at ourselves for missing people who are mad at us? I think it would be easier if I could just hate them all and not care about them even a little bit... but I can't do that, so I torture myself by missing them.
Anyway...... Sounds like you are going to have a great trip. It's so awesome to finally get to do something you've planned and thought about for a long time. We have been wanting to get down to San Diego for awhile now, looks like we might actually do it next fall, yay! There is a Tattoo artist in Santa Barbara that I want to do my first tattoo.. so we're both going to get tattoos when we go

it's around 11am and there's a knock on the door.
one of the kids goes to the door and the person there asks for my wife.
she's still in her pj's so i go in her place to find two older ladies.
Good job!!
I was called on last saterday, but I blew it. I had a cold and had taken nyquil.. so when they knocked at 10:15 I was out cold, my dog woke me up and I threw on a bathrobe and answered the door.. but I was so brain fuzzy I just told them I wasn't interested and went back to bed.
Sigh, all that preperation for nothing. oh well, maybe next time.

i will tell you two true stories and you judge for yourself..
few days ago i was listening on the news how some old man came to kindergarten and picked up a child.
half an hour later some other people came who turned out to be real parents of the child and were basically told that child was picked up by a strange old man.
I think any one who watches the news and believes everything they see is going to wind up cynical, or with a twisted view of realitly, at the least.
I learned awhile ago (about the time I left the JWs, hmm) that I have to look at everything with an eye for what the real story is, and accept that I may never know the "whole truth" An epidemic in Seattle? or the yearly flu running its course? I have to look at anything the media puts out with a jaded view.. this doesn't make me cynical of humanity.. just the media.
The media is out for it's own gains, not my personal benefit, though they may try to convince me otherwise.

(hope I didn't miss the point )
hello all,.
i am after some information about the "smurf ban" of the 1980s.... does anyone have anything in writing / scans or mp3s (even hinted at) ???.
thanks all.
I don't remember anything in writing, I do remember an assembly where they mentioned "blue cartoon characters" that should be avoided

i'm in love with a man who is a witness.
i am a pretty inactive protestant, meaning my parents were only able to drag me to church twice a year on christmas eve and easter morning.
he told me early into our relationship that he wanted to marry me and spend the rest of his life with me, and that he has never felt the love for anyone else like he does for me.
He can be so funny and charming and is so good at talking to people and making them feel comfortable.
He's charismatic. A lot of abusers are. This doesn't make them relationship material!
You've already gotten lot's of good advice...
ARE YOU RUNNING YET?????

the following is a work in progress so any thoughts would be appreciated.
the parable of the collar.
one day as i was wandering around attending to my own business a person approached me and presented me with a nice collar.
That was excellent!
I have nothing to add, though, sorry. My brain function is on the extreme low side today, no creative thinking going on here!!!
Oh, wait.. maybe something about the scars the collar leaves?
Misty
wow.
wow.
i used to post here lifetimes ago, and i just recently came back and read some of my old posts.
I just loved the 'ol "it's you not him" crap that would get thrown at me everytime I griped about my marriage. UGH!! So glad to be out and free!!
I recently returned to JWD after a long absence and was amazed at how much I still needed to work through. I thought I had put it all behind me, but I guess I had just buried it I feel better already.
Welcome back!

my almost 17 year old daughter left to stay with her dad last thursday.
this is the second time she has left due to my strict rules, like 10p school day curfue, get to school on time, keep your grades above a c. she has not kept to my rules, so as a consequence i told her this last wednesday night she has lost driving priviledges of the car i gave her on her 16th birthday.
she said she was leaving to live with her dad.
I don't have any kids, so I don't have any advice for you reguarding your daughter. I'm sorry you are going through this, it sounds terribly difficult.
I have been in a sexless marriage. I will presume to give you advice on that: seek help. It can be devistating to your self-esteem/self-image. I don't know what your husbands problem is (my ex is gay, which no one bothered to tell me) but you are not "past it" Women reach their sexual primes at about your age.. it should be getting better, not non-existant!! I know that as a 20 yo I had to learn how to turn off my sex drive. I got rather good at it. By the time we seperated I was 27 and had learned to have no sex drive at all.. do you think that's the way a healthy 27 yo should be?
Fortunatly for my current hubby I was able to find it again, and I learned how vital it is to a healthy mind, body and marriage. I was missing out, and not in just a physical way.
Obviously I don't know your entire story or how your relationship works, but I can tell you, from personal experience, that I understand how damaging it can be.
I hope you don't take this post the wrong way, I just hate to think of any one in a situation even remotely similar to the one I was in, and had to stick my nose in.
