  Elder comes to visit

  i haven't to a meeting in about 2 or so months and tonight one of the local elders came to visit me.. he goes on about, how he and the hall misses me and loves me.

  and they want to go back to the meetings, "it must be a teenager thing, everyone went thru it, but i know that you will be back.

  " i was thinking to myself, you don't know that i'll be back, and i don't plan on it either.

  Hang in there, you are a very strong person and you sound more mature than a lotta people I know.

  My sister stood up for herself and stopped going to meetings when she was 12 yo. She was (and still is) a strong and mature person too. Finally 6 years later I got the strength to leave as well, Now only our Mum is still in and she talks and hangs out with all of us so its all pretty good.

  Enjoy your life and keep a truly open mind and you'll be right.

  one of my most memorable: dennis leary, drinking a few pints with him as he sang "margaritaville" from the jukebox.

  on september 8, 1963 my sister, carmen elizabeth was born.. she was, and would remain the only girl in our family.

  she was so adorable, brown haired, brown eyed and had a great smile.

  she was less than a year younger than i, and we were like the 'best of pals' as kids.. she'd allow me to put beans in her ears, or get her to put peas in her nose or carrots on top of her teeth, and make me laugh.. she was born in cape breton, nova scotia.

  Styrofoam Personalities at the Kingdom Hall

  i think it's absolutely amazing how people strip off the old personality, and put on the new personality when they enter the kingdom hall.

  everyone looks incredibly phony.

  those smiles aren't genuine.

  Is Mankind Born Evil....or Good?

  many ancients including confucious and lao tzu took opposing views about this subject and their arguments are fascinating to read.

  their arguments are nearly 2,500 years old.

  the greeks also lively debated this question.. of course, as dubs (and in fact, in most christian faiths) we were taught that man was born inherently evil, and the quest is to overcome that and work towards the good.

  I dont believe in good and evil. I do believe in mental illness.

  Is a lion evil because it kills?

  I think we begin at a base/earthly level. Each time we are reincarnated we learn that lifes lesson and we move on to a more enlightened state until we become wholely spiritual.

  Meat Loaf

  my dad makes the most mouth watering meat loaf i've ever had.

  for some reason, i've really been into meat loaf these last few months.
