How many of you went to the elders when you / someone did something wrong ?
by run dont walk ini've read a lot of threads of late, where people stated when they did something wrong they would go the elders the next day and confess.. i find this truly bizzare !!!.
okay, maybe i didn't have a conscience as a jw, i did alot of things wrong, but, that would be the f--kin' day i would go to the elders and confess anything.
i would never tell those old goots anything, because then they would have something to hang over you for a long time.

Were you baptized too young?
by sandy in2 peter 2.
22there has befallen them the thing spoken of in the true proverb, the dog turns back to his own vomit, and, the sow is washed only to wallow again in the mire..
i remember when i was going over my baptismal questions the elder spouted off this scripture to me.. looking back at it i wonder how could he be such a moron!

"In those days my mother thought it would be a protection for me of sorts. Of course that thinking is wrong, but it was a different era."
I was always told that If I was not babtized, I would not be protected during armageddon. I would have no chance for survival. This is still the a jw belief

How old were you when you got Baptised?
by El Kabong ini was 13 at the time.
i wanted to get baptised before the end came in 1975. .
back then, 13 was borderline young for baptism, but from what i've been reading, some are now getting baptised as young as 9 or 10. .

I live south of seattle in the tacoma/puyallup area. Property taxes are pretty low, but I pay around 300.00 a month for car insurance (2 cars). Jobs are pretty easy to find around the seattle area. Traffic sucks no matter where you go in Washington. The weather here is pretty mild, plants and trees are nice and green, Mt rainier is awesome, and there is plenty of stuff to do and places to visit on the weekends.

newbie and not understanding all of the aspects of this site
by Maggie ini have read alot on this site for a while and just have been absorbing it as i make my way.. one thing i noticed was alot said about abuse of children... i experienced the reverse...false stories told..believed by elders because of hidden agenda and 20+ years as special pioneers ..etc.
as of no count and belief in a new publisher destroyed our lives and children's lives.
the horror never stops ...some of our family is disassociated...some disfellowshipped...some inactive...some active..some on a fence...mostly because of one or two elders and the misapplication of their power and lack of love to our family.
