What is your job/career? Like it?

i'm a deskside support guy working for a service company, at one of their contracts.

i enjoy fixing things, although some of the customers could use a good knock on the skull sometimes.. i make pretty decent money for what i am doing.. for me, it's what i've wanted to do my whole life.

i had a computer from the time i was born, and love it since then.. what do you guys do to bring home the bacon?.

I'm a Designer/Engineer for a Store Fixture manufacturing company. I design Nordstrom, Saks, Tiffany's, Coach, Pottery Barn etc etc. interiors.

Passive shunning?

quite a few posts of late have mentioned shunning and i was pondering my own case.

i've come to think of it more like passive shunning if anything.

i can call them, but they rarely if ever call me.

I am not df'd or da'd, just "inactive" but my situation is similar. My family does not make the effort to call me or visit. My two eldest sister will not let me spend time with my nieces and nephews. I do call them and visit them every few months, and they don't seem to mind, but they really do try to keep thier distance from me and my husband.

i left the borg 13 years ago, at age 22. after my wife had died of cancer, i started seeing a "worldly" female.

(i was teetering in the borg at the time.

) well we ended up becoming very intimate.

Anyone Ever Reinstated After "Apostacy"?

good morning!

i was just wondering if anyone on this site has been reinstated as a jw after having been disfellowhipped or disassociated from the watchtower society for "apostasy"?

if so, would you mind telling us what it was like for you to go through the "process" of reinstatement after having "seen the light" <smile!> about the organization?

I was always told that apostacy was "the unforgivable sin". You couldn't be reinstated even if you wanted too. But yesterday I read the lastest Watchtower and in on of the articles the question was asked "is apostacy an unforgivable sin?" The WBTS reply was something to the effect of "We are not to judge apostates. They will have to answer to Jehovah." This confused me because when I got married, The elders told me if I got married in the mormon chapel that I would be committing the unforgivable sin of apostacy.

The scene is alive and well here in Seattle. They've gotton really strict on what you can bring in the venue,but we don't have too many problems with parties being shut down. Parties get shut here because of promoters not having the right permits, or trying to pack to many people in a venue (fire hazard). As far as shutting it down because of drug use, doesnt happen here.

I like Trance, Goa, old 80's stuff. Well pretty much anything but here are some of my favorites.

Goa: Astral Projection, Kox Box, Infected Mushroom, Electric Universe.

I also love Tori Amos, Sky Cries Mary, Supreme Beings of Liesure and Portishead.

Favorite Dj's: Timo Mass, Mark Farina, Dara, Micro, Doboy, John Kelly.

My all time favorite 80's bands are: The Cure, The Smiths, Depech Mode and New Order.
