More Photos - Sorry. I'm New at This.
by Francois inok, here is the first diskfull of photos of my new little fisherman, crabber, shrimper and lothario.
notice how in every picture, even when you can't see 'em, there's a feminine-type person holding him.
may this continue for the next 25 years until he's out of college and ready to select one to give his pore ol' grandpa a great grandson or daughter.

The family destroyers strike again
by betweenworlds inwell, they have done it again.. my husband called me from work today rather upset.
he had just gotten off the phone with his best friend who he had grown up with.
this friend grew up in an extremely disfunctional jw home.

What Do You Do to Relax?
by cruzanheart ini am hereby, for the next 24 hours at least, swearing off all serious topics.
yesterday was a brain-fry day, what with the harassment stuff, a call from our medicaid lawyer regarding my mother's application (not good news), doing bills, and fleeing to the gym at lunch only to find out i've gained two pounds since last week.. today at lunch i am going shopping by myself.
i am going to my favorite resale/antique clothing shop down the street and see if i can find something eye-popping for the apostafest.

My relaxation therapy is find a buddy, with a white unmarked van, and take my Super Soaker water gun, and go out and "splash" unsuspecting dubs on street corner work.
b12 would that buddy be ME?

Sorry to hear of the troubles you and Big Tex have been having. You sure need a day of relaxation.
When the kids are out of the house I like to sit in a nice hot tub of bubles, with a glass of wine, lie back and enjoy the silence.
But my real relaxation is camping, sitting by the lake, enjoying the warmth of the sun, and of course my favourite beverage.(combination of any type of alcoholic refreshment)

finally got my thoughts gathered to share......
by scootergirl ini am relatively new to the board and have to say have never had such a heartwarming welcome from so many people!
it feels so comforting to make new friends that "understand" where i have come from.. i have read many many stories, and have sat back in awe....wow, what stories.
mine is quite simple, but none-the-less my story.

OMG. ((((((Christy)))))))). I just read your posts here for the first time. I'm at work crying at my desk right now. It's amazing what some of us have had to go through over the years, the loss of family, the shunning, the feeling of complete emptiness. But I do believe we become stronger and wiser through the emotional rollercoaster, and we become better people for it. Damn the borg for the pain they have caused.

A circuit overseer in all his wisdom once said to me... "you wouldn't go into a tea room and ask for 3 pints of tea would you? So why drink 3 pints of beer? Is it for the effect?"
BWAHAHAHAHA !
That CO, probably dosen't enjoy sex, either ! What a putz.

Whenever I run into JW that shun me
by Sadie5 ini haven't been df or da, just left.
i run into jw's in restaurants, grocery stores and on the street and they act so stuck up, or give me a dirty look if i smile at them and say hello.. i then think to myself, what reason do they have to act so arrogant toward me?
they support a religion that promotes the secrecy of child molestation.

(((MUM)))
In fact, one of the reasons I had to get out was the realization that I had been a better, kinder, more understanding person in my pre-dub life. It became hard for me to live with myself trying to follow the Watchtower dictates (aka "suggestions") on how to deal with people who might happen to choose to dress attractively or have a relationship with a decent person who was not a JW or other ridiculous WT edicts.
MUM this is so true. I can honestly say I had a hardened heart for ones that looked or dressed different when I was in the borg. Now that I'm out, I don't judge ones that dress or look different. I am free to think for myself and decide for myself

OH! That sounds yummy, can we come Pleez
This morning I made my kids my famous pancakes that are known in our neighbourhood. Our kids usually have friends sleep over on the weekend, so I'll get up and make a big batch of pancakes. It has now become family tradition to have pancakes at least one day on the weekend.
Tonight we are having ham, creamy cheesy scalloped potatoes, vegetables and a nice garden salad. Can hardly wait
P.S. Englishman, WHAT no yorkshire pudding?!

Very well put! I agree with everything you said. What pompous, arrogant people they come off as, but I'm sure they don't see themselves that way. (Did we when we were one of them?)
Pompous and arrogant are my feelings exactly. When you see the arrogant bast$%*ds out shopping they look down their nose at you. Gets my blood pressure raised a bit. But after being part of this board now for a couple of weeks makes me better to cope with their attitudes and actually I can hardly wait to see one now, because I'm the one now that will hold my head up high and feel sorry for them because they are the poor sorry pitiful ones left blinded by the now so bright light. HA!
P.S. My husband just added to my feelings. When we were in the borg we were afraid of "apostates" . That's how they feel now. I'd like to go up to one in the grocery aisle and say "BOO" and watch them fill their attends. hehehehe
