Most hated WT publication

why did you hate it?

Mankind's search for god or the Evolution book, or for any matter, any WT book that the WT presents as "advanced study." You think it's going to give you an insightful point but all it does is repeat the mantra "We're so different from 'false' religion" matra instead of actually educating a person about Christian dogma.

When I did have the procedure done, the jack-ass that I was with at the time didn't even go with me... he had to work. He called me later that evening and said "I was holding your hand at 2:30 today." I flipped out... I spent days just crying for my mom. I was depressed after that for weeks... Erik and I broke up shortly there-after, and at this point in my life I'm glad not to be permanantly attached to such a controlling prick.
This sort of brings an intersting quote I heard on the Laura Inghram show last night while I was in bed. Laura played a clip of some abortion ralliers from Sunday's rally and one of them had a song that said "If men could get pregnant, abortion would be legal." It made me think "What if men got pregnant, would they put women through the 'abort the baby now' tirade they usually do when they don't want to take responsability of the child?

Survey:What should the U.S do with Texas?

I know what Texas can do, annex the upper Midwest and liberate us from our whiney politicians. And also teach these people up here how to cook. No matter what my neighbors say, a fast food patato lefse and lutefisk hotdish (casserole) will never be eaten outside of northern MN.

Favourite comic book or comic book hero ?
by El blanko ini noticed somebody said they were bored, so i thought i'd start up a ' fluff ' thread .
i have been a minor fan off and on of comic books through the years (although not as obsessed as a guy i know of who owns 1000s of the comics and delves deeply into that particular universe of artwork for spiritual insight) and have a favourite book that inspires thought and fires up my imagination:.
' watchmen ' written by alan moore.

Gambit. He's distant, has deep issues and is a hopeless romantic, sorta like me.

Reading WT Publications
by Nosferatu inokay, i don't know about the rest of you, but when i read any wt publications (even on here), i fall into a state where i'm reading, but not paying attention to what i'm reading.
i used to do it during watchtower studies, and when i was studying, i fought to pay attention to the material being discussed.
it just seems automatic, that i completely shut my mind off when reading wt publications.. what about you?

I can't even read them anymore, they're so nausiatingly simple and filled with circular reasoning.

by sandy inhas anybody read this article on the wild beast?
it is the wild beast and 666 on the cover.. i'm curious to know what some of your thoughts are on the article.
if there is already a thread on the topic i would appreciate someone directing me to it..
-
ColdRedRain
No, I didn't read the article, but what I did do was I cut out the pictures of the beast and the #666 and put it in my room. It now accompanies the street signs, concert ticket stubs, paintings I made at the mental ward, and the picture of the clubbed baby seal I have on my wall.
It's an odd scene.
