Opinions/Advice needed

ok here is my deal.... for those of you who don't know already i have never been df'd or da'd.

i just quit going, and was never baptized.

(that will become relevant later).

If you want to be with her then do. Really I guess it is silly to believe that a cult member will spend time on those that know that they are full of lies. So just pretend that the cult does not exist. Think of them like addicts. Because that is exactly what they are. They are as closed minded as any bigot. You can reason and plead and scream and cry and bargin...Waste of time.

If you want to be with them then do. Just go. Put on very thick skin because things are not the way that they were when you did cult doctrine drugs. (The movie 28 days) You can not have the relations that you did when you were in. You can have relations but not like before. I have to admit that my experiences over the years were not 100% horrid. (It was one saga after another.) I did have some times that were pretty ok.

I just don't think it is worth all the trouble. They like their drug and until the individual hits rock bottom nothing will set them free.

I know you love them. I love mine too. But they love their drug more than me. More than their daughter. More than their grandchildren.

I'm tired of thinking about them. I'm tired of them hurting people. My wife just talked to a family member and said in very clear terms "They are all dead TO ME! I don't really care what they think, say, or do." I have always learned from her. Her ways are so simple. I think she leads and I will follow.

They are dead to me.

Take care all. For those of you who believe in a "God in what ever form may it bless you all and keep you safe. For those who no longer need or want a deity may you watch over each other and protect with love those around you.

For me it is time to do my work IRL.

Alone at new years eve again

new years eve 1996 was the last time i enjoyed a new years eve with a girlfriend.

even though i wasnt into celebtrating it in a major way because of the jw influence on my life, it was a really great time to be with someone i cared about.

1997 onwards i became involved with the jws and of course i couldnt become involved with a worldly girl, so i became celebate.

The new year is what you make it man. I have had a new year's alone. But I had my friend Jack D with me. There is still two weeks before new years. There are lots of women out there to be friends with. Any old friends or army buddies? Any family or co-workers? Any commercial parties? Ever done a dating service? If you want a date make a date. There are lots of people out there that are lonely. Even if you end up being one this year make a resolution for next year to be the best year of your life. Then MAKE IT SO!

There are to many beautiful women out there that are way to cool to ever give up I.M.O.

why does god allow this stuff?

according to your teachings, believers, just so he can stroke himself and show how man has failed.

in fact believers will read this stuff and shrug it off because in the future god will fix it it and it just proves why we need god..

About that "doubt" you think I might have in the word "may" (I'm sure you remember) It's not that I doubt my faith in the order of things. I do not want to speak in my faith, in what I believe, as what everyone else should be like. It is what I believe and what works for me. It might not work for you. (Thus may) Some people here and all over have had experiences that I don't know. Some lives are worse than my nightmares. I don't have all the answers. In fact, I don't want them. My "may" is an open invitation to others that maybe together we can be stronger than apart. Maybe together we can make some of the wrongs right; enough so that life is worth it. My may is an offer of friendship, that this concept of "god" as I see it is not more important that yours.

However, I have to accept that some people don't want happiness. They have narsisic wounds that make them human animals. With them there will never be peace. They will never work together with anyone that will not be subjegated. And, I have to get over that.

Ever read proverbs 3:7? I'm not trying to argue with you. Just explaining myself a little, I am not wise. I do want to help people if I can. Many of my attempts in talking to people here is just to explain what works for me. If it helps great. If not round file.

Ever have the LORD come down in a big cloud and correct you? Does that mean that it does not love the one who does not see it? I'll end with about where I began. "The only place I have ever found "god" the one I can not escape, the one who sees all my actions, the one who is always with me is that schmuck in the mirror. I have never seen a burning bush and if I did I would probably use a fire extinguisher. My faith is in whatever will come, that it will be what it will be. I just do the best I can.

i was raised jw, so i have nothing to go back to as far as belief.

the wt has been exposed to me as nothing but a bunch of lies, coverups, failed predictions, interpreting the bible to fit their teachings etc.

now i stand here,,,,,,,,,,,, with no belief system at all.

Would You, Could You, Marry Your Wife Again?

a couple of years back, 2 friends of ours decided that they would like to have their marriage vows renewed in our local church.

the main reason behind this was that they had married abroad some years back, and they thought that a sort of "second wedding" would be a nice thing for the mums and dads who had missed out on the original.

it was fine, very enjoyable.. hmm, i got to thinking, her ladyship and i did not marry in church, but settled for a registry office bash because of parental jw pressure, and also, because i had been married before it was, back then, very difficult to obtain a church wedding if one had been divorced.

Filing a Lawsuit to see my granddaughter

hi everyone, hoping you're having a good day...i am a "newbie", posted before (re: missing my granddaughter)..well, i have been thinking long and hard, and then long and harder still and i've decided to start a suit to see if i can get grandparent visitation to see my dearly-loved "chloe" who is 6 years old.

my husband is an attorney(not chloe's grandfather) and he wants to take them on, after seeing what 2 years of being cut-off from her, has put me through.

i have an illness, and the stress of missing chloe of course makes me feel worse.

I am in your bizzaro world where the WT is concerned. (My children are on the outside and I said that borg forced indoctrination as love will not be tolerated) My trapped family is 3rd generation and currently do not believe there is an outside the Watchtower. (There are only those who have not "The Truth" yet) I have accepted that I can not reason with them much less save them from themselves. The cycle of abuse was broken with my children and we have great relations will everyone but the borg. I admire your loving zeal for your children. I really do. You are an example to me that I have growing still to do.

Although I do not support the State dictating non parental visitation rights I will pray for you; that a way is found where you can share your love for your grandchild, with her directly.

Have you considered or tried voluntary arbitration? (As opposed to court itself?) Or, have you talked to Steven Hassan, read his book "Breaking The Bonds." Looking into the SIA ideals might be good for you. Being prepared in reality is your best friend on this trek.

And again if you never get the opportunity to say all the things that you want to then write a letter for your grandchild. Tell her everything you feel, all your love, dreams, and aspirations for her.
