Circuit Assembly this past weekend

this past weekend we had our circuit assembly.

you guessed it, same ol' same ol.

' on saturday, the overall theme was based on materialism.

Absolutely brilliant WTS strategy! You gotta love those boys. They find so many ways to take people's money who believe in them as they find to murder people with their idiotic medical policies (past and present) and destroy and waste people's lives whilst picking their pockets and promising them nothing but dirty, filthy AIR: empty promises that never happen.

WHAT !!!!!!!!

I had no idea that the circuit had to RENT the assembly hall that we had worked our tails off building. Not to mention the $$$$ donated for the construction materials.

I did begin to wonder near the end of my servitude why an assembly held in our "own" assembly hall could have expenses in excess of $10,000.00. And that ever present deficit.

Now I know. I feel violated again. I am so angry. Those sorry #$*()(_+)(&%$

i really enjoyed talking with you.

i've been where you're at and it's not easy.

you need to do some research about the witnesses.

Courage grasshopper. I can see now how therapy would have been a good idea. I went into a deep dark funk when I began my discovery quest into the ugly Truth. I shut myself into my room with tons of books, I printed reems of information from this and other web sites. I was a mess. I am much better now. After a while you will come to grips with the thing and you will be a better person for it. Don't let up until your quest is complete.

"Shock and Awe" and the hebrew word Shekina.

has anyone notice the similarity of this "shock and awe" campaign and the hebrew word shekina, do you think it's a coincidence, since bush a devout born again christian?.

"shekinah means "presence of god" and relates to the feminine aspect of the holy trinity.

it is the energy that sanctifies from within the dimension of matter or the holy spirit.

Is it bad?

i remember when i was a jw how everyone was constantly wondering whether certain things were bad or demonic or generally unacceptable to a true christian(tm).. it seems like they are completely obsessed with things like that... like the luau that minimus brought up in another thread or the smurfs.. when you were a jw, what were some of the "critical" things that everyone was obsessed with?.

My daughter has a crystal sphere hanging from her rear-view mirror in her car. One super fine sister was aghast when she saw it. She said it was demonistic. Of course she could hand crystal chandelier baubals in her wndows at her house to catch the sun. But a crystal "ball" is real bad.

My daughter just looked at her funny and left the ball where it is. Some people need to worry about real problems like world hunger or the single mom down the street who could use a kind word and a sack of groceries.

i was lurking on the pure language board and came across a post about 607 verses 586/587.

no one really gave a good defense of it and before it could really get going, they closed the thread.

insight books has a good explanation of pivotal dates.

We know that the 607 BCE date is the correct one for the fall of Jerusalem because the FDS has so lovingly supplied us with the Insite volumes that show beyond a doubt that 539 minus 2 equals 537 and we all know that 537 plus 70 equals 607. How can anyone argue with the logic of that? No one in their right mind would take the word of a scientist who scratches around in the dirt for a living. They have dirty fingernails, funky socks and probably pick their noses. Of course the thread had to be closed. The question was answered perfectly.

I am dizzy with all the circular reasoning going on there!! I have to lie down. I'm all sick and stuff.

I am just floored at the shear amount of ~~hogwash~~ proof that the WT has presented over the years so that all loyal dubs know for sure they are in the "truth" and the FDS is the real deal. Add to your list the Daniel Prophesy book and the duel jewels the Isaiah Light books

I am so upset at me for letting that slide right past my good sense. I used to skip over that part of the "lesson" and mentally say "whatever" and continue on. Why o Why didn’t a red flag go up and warn me the whole cock-a- maimy tale was bogus? I knew deep down that they were misapplying scripture to themselves and their obscure little religion. But I was under the spell of "they have the truth and where would I go?"

I did not buy into the part where every possible account or person in the Bible was an "anti-type" of THEM the almighty WTS. I would say a quiet "whatever" and read on. I could never force myself to answer questions at the study dealing with that stuff. How come something didn't click inside my brain years ago? Brain dead I guess. I went along with the flow. -kicking myself in the back sides-

I went away to Jesus Christ and his Father and away from the confining strangle-hold of the WTS. I went away to freedom, freedom to think and research and explore. I went away to my inner rooms and away from sanctified holy buildings. When I left 6 months ago I surrounded myself with as many Bibles, commentaries, and concordanances as possible. I spent enormous amounts of hours on line. I printed reems of information. I put my life on hold while I searched for the answers. I have a sense of peace now that excells all thought. I am content in what I believe. I am content to know that I will probably never have all the answers. I am no longer obsessed with needing to have answers to all the questions. I trust our heavenly Father to take care of the universe. I only have to take care of my little corner. I only have to love him with all my heart, mind and soul. And I have to love my fellow human brothers and sisters like I am learning to love myself. It is so simple. I love my life now. And I can love everyone else, too. I do not have to treat others like birdfood.

what a journey this has been?

i am reflecting over the years that i spent as a jehovah's witness today mark a decade and a half.

i find it incredible that i would come to this situation.

Forgiveness... Why?

Forgiveness is the best revenge. When what they have done does not affect your life anymore they have no way of hurting you. Forgiving is letting the anger go away. It does not condone the wrong actions of another it just puts the responsibility of it in their life not yours. My mother once told me that the opposite of love may be hate but the absence of love is indifference. Forgiveness of a major offence can be that same indifference. You can just refuse to let them go on hurting you by harboring resentment. Resentment takes too much energy away from living a peaceful today.
