just as a matter of curiosity i was wondering if any of you know of anybody who has read raymond franz' 'crisis of conscience' and who actually remained a jw?
i have sent and lent this book to a number of people within the wts, even a co, all of whom left eventually.
one person remained due to domestic issues, but resigned from all his duties and remains as such.
I know of 3 individuals that have read Crisis of Conscience and have stopped cold turkey.

These are my same sentiments. But when I was growing up as a loyal young dub, we did take everything the society said seriously. Many of us denied ourselves a good education because of them.
I see kids in the congregation today making the same mistake. I feel really sorry for them.

i want to know your opinion about this.
Is it ethical right to install a bankcard/creditcard-terminal in a place of worship?

Is it ethical? For watchtower if its money in its pockets its ethical for them.

i just got off the phone with my mum.
she said that a 2nd cousin, who works in new york bethel, is coming to canada bethel for about three months, as part of the move of their largest print press to bethel canada.
Also, the same source said that Bethel is selling WT Farms (Walkill). Patterson remains unaffected by all this.
I know that here in Canada watchtower is selling or is in the process of selling the Canadian farm. I heard it recently from a Canadian bethel worker.
I asked why?
The answer was that the governing body is sensing that the end if very near and they want to simplify.
Who knows what they are really up to? Maybe they are sensing their own end.
