it felt good to get things off my chest, so i figured i would update the forum of where i am at in life.

ok, i was reading the awake article thread, and i thought, we have "yound people ask" but no "old people ask" so what about some article titles for the old?.

old people ask: "why has the new system been *just around the corner* for over 100 years?".

old people ask: "why didn't i save for my retirement?".

A Very Sad Shell-Shocking Day

why is it our lot as former members of the watchtower organization to suffer so much emotional pain?

just when we think we have reached some level of putting it all behind us, something new pops up to bite us hard.

a couple that i have been very close to just sent me a very sad e-mail.

I can't imagine that your friends are going back. But to each their own.

Maybe they are missing the sense of community. Some people need to be part of a group. Perhaps your friends are of this sort.

If going back is what makes them happy so be it.

True some xjw are bitter and will say things that are off the cuff. But I believe that an intelligent, reasonable person can look beyond that.

One cannot deny the "truth" about the watchtower organization. There is plenty "truth" about this organization to make a reasonable, honest person run far far away from it.

When my husband introduced me to this board he told me to start reading your posts. I enjoyed them immensely and they were very helpful to me. Thank you.

You have done a lot of good to a lot of people.

In all fairness I dont remember any y2k humbug.

XQ, In the january 1 1989 of the watchtower (page 12 end of par 8) it read: The apostle Paul was spearheading the Christian missionary activity. He was also laying a foundation for a work that would be completed in our 20th century. So watchtower was most certainly up to its old tricks of setting dates. By the way this quote is from the individual copy of the watchtower. By the time the bound volume cam out they removed "in our 20th century" and substituted "in our day" wannaexit

The day my husband gave me Ray Franz's books to read he told me about this site. Amazing was the first poster I was introduced to.

I have come to this site everyday for the last 2 years.

What a wealth of information there is. This is better than Tim horton's coffee.

LAWSUIT AGAINST WTS - WRONGFULL DEATH

i filed a lawsuit today against the wts for wrongfull death of my daughter bethany.

i had a press conference and all the media was present.

i will be interviewed later today on two radio talk shows.

MY COUSIN RETURNS Franz' book TO ME - THANKS BUT NO THANKS

we invited them into the family room , their eyes just popped for they recall when lady ?c?

and i got married and was living in the basement of an older couples home so that after leaving bethel-------- i could stay in the full time work, we were shooting for the traveling work.

as he put it, you all done went materialistic on us.

I got a letter from a former bethel buddy over 13yrs ago, I sent it back- to think I could have gotten out of wt a decade earlier is sad-

I'd I listened to my husband I also would have gotten out 10 years ago.

Watchtower indoctination is so intense and the "detox" process is very long if you ever get there. But you have probably created a few cracks in his spiritual armour and one day he may be willing to read Ray's books.

I gave "Crisis of Conscience" to a very dear friend and she told me had I given it to her just six months prior she would have also given back and considered me an apostate. Somehow when she got it things had started to touch her skin so to speak and she was ready.

I hope the same happens to your cousin
