What do you feed your cat/dog pets

to all those that have pet cats and/or dogs, what do you feed them?

it is said that tinned cat/dog food is made with all sorts of horrible things such as anything from an animal that's not fit for human consumption, intestines, spleens, blood, hide, plus dead animals, feathers chemically treated to become digestible protein and rancid discarded oils from restaurants.

cheap cereal fillers are added to lower production costs.

Even though I'm not a vet I do know that cats and dogs are a natural predator to smaller animals. They are a carnivorous animal. Just take a look at their teeth. Each animal has a set of fangs to in order to rip and tear flesh.

Now check out a cows teeth. There built up like ours, flat, some what even, A cow is a vegetarian. A non-carnivorous animal.

Cats, if not given certain foods can develop bladder problems. I had a cat that was put to sleep because I thought he had a broken back. I only discovered after that he had kidney stones. That in itself is very expensive surgery.

Since then I made sure the food I purchased had minerals in it that would prevent bladder and kidney problems.

the last sentence of the first paragraph says "they do not look to any human, but rather to jesus christ, as their leader.".

if an active witness were to make this exact statement to an elder, he or she would throw up a red flag!

All witnesses look towards the society for answers not Christ. Here's a small example of salvation.

(4) Like sheep that get injured, some Christians have been hurt by what they perceive to be offensive conduct. Yet, if we are forgiving toward others, our heavenly Father will grant us needed forgiveness. (Colossians 3:12-14; 1 Peter 4:8) Some brothers or sisters may have received counsel or discipline that they felt was unjust. However, all of us can benefit from spiritual counsel and discipline, and it is comforting to know that Jehovah disciplines those for whom he has love. (Hebrews 12:4-11) Because they have not been given privileges of service for which they feel qualified, others have allowed resentment to create a rift between them and the congregation. But if we were to draw away from Jehovah's organization, there would be no place else to go for salvation and true joy.

Howdy kid-A......Good thought on the issue. Religious people forget one thing...their religion....many people who have any religion know they think they have to promote their church or what ever they many call it. I rely on Christ. Anything less it's not important. That's my own profound opinion.

I plant the seed.....what ever you do with it, it's up to you. Have fun and PEACE.

As for popper....I really doubt about an existence before, "IAM." Man is funny. He always is worried about who came before him and who's going to be here after man. It's like Bill Clinton. He always was concerned about what took place before him. Now he's worried about his legacy...He doesn't have one.

There's nothing I could do before I came on the scene. I can't control what happens after I'm gone. But what I can control is what happens now.

Man can not nor will never fully understand, "IAM." Man has always tried to improve himself and many have tried to improve others for himself. Look at history. There's not one civilization today that's still standing that was started, even, a thousand years ago. Why? Man feels he can always do better. Man has tried every government that could be thought of. That is all, but one. God's controling government. Man fears God so much, he'll never try it. Why? It's called accountablity. And man will cruch anyone who believes other wise.

Sorry Gumby..I didn't mean to over look your comments. Just got carried away.

I don't believe that people don't look in the right direction for God..I feel that people get tired, and I sure did, but they listen to others and begain to accept these things. Look at all the religions of the world? And the more these religions told me that they were right, the more I studied.

Yes, as many good people do, we, at times, need to rely on others. Like parents we need to look towards them as we grow. That is if we have parents that know the right path. So when we become adults we need to look back and see how our lives have become. Of course I refuse to grow up. After all Christ told us that we must become like children. The problem with parents.....and many mean well...think that their children are there's to do as they wish. They forgotten the most important issue. God gave the parents children to guide and protect. The children are God's. And children are a gift from God.

Sorry Terry, I don't plan to take the bait. You are where I was many years ago. It's cool. It kind of takes a leap of faith in learning of who God is. And the more one knows God the more one learns of themselves.

Like Simon Greenleaf, he too studied theological issues to disprove God. The more he reasoned the more he realized there was something out there more powerful then he. Enstien did the same. And Enstien realised and it frightened him to know that the universe had a grand designer.

As for me I'm just a simple theologian who thought I knew God. How much I realized I knew nothing. I've studied confucuis, Islam, judaism, buddhism, animism, hinduism,christianity, and other religions of the world. And after all of the studying most of the major religions lead me down to Christianity.

Now this christianity most people think it's a religion. It's not. Christianity is a way of life. It stands for representing what Christ stood for. So we, as christians, have the hope to live free for Christ and have faith in Him.

It's true, faith is something so powerful death can not conquer it. Hilter tried it. Stalin tried and failed. Why? Someone promised us a love so great nothing to conquer it. It's called unconditional Love. No matter what you did....no matter who you did it too.

We can't judge other people's heart. Only God can do this. And the promise of this uncondidtonal love, our faith is towards Christ. Faith is more then just a belief in someone or something.

I don't expect you to understand the grasp of faith at this moment. The world and it's system of things today are going to pass away soon. God said it...I have faith in knowing what God said is to be true....

JW Urban Ledgends - Fact or Fiction?

growing up as a jehovahs wittness my parents used to rationalize or have a urban ledgends reguarding why we could not do something or why something was evil/bad.

some of these i have heard in various forms around here in the forums.

here are some expamples of what i mean.

Plenty of stories like that. And guess what? 90% of those stories, my opinion, come from Jehovah Witnesses. Since many believe that many of these things must be demonized it really happened. I feel and believe most of the watchtower society is demon filled. Satan can be quite dangerous.

Ok Terry.....you really can't define electricity so it doesn't exist. You can't see, hear,taste oxygen so that's out too. Yet we all see the results. Same as faith....either you have it or you don't. Thre's no middle road on that.

Never said Occams Razar created God. What I said is basically the simplest answer could be the right one. Never said pantheism was new. I think the ancient druids who practiced it also said that Gaia was in there too. As for mysticism the druids taught it well.

Now I can recall.........Stalin said that, "religion is the opium of the masses." You sure Brenda you want to stand behind that?

As for gaia, I'm familiar with her....(Greek mythology) goddess of the earth and mother of Cronus and the Titans in ancient mythology. As for the greeks...they finally came to realize she was only a myth as in evolution.

The one main reason why man refuses to acknowledge God is, man refuses to accept accuontablity. As lomg as man ignores God he can do as he pleases. Or better yet, his morals.

As an example is look towards the greeks,the roman empire....all the great civilations of the ancient world. Then compare it with today's society.

Does not scripture say anything on a vast ancient city called sodom and the valley of Gomorrah? I understand it's morals got the best of the city so warmed God, before it fell? Better yet it was destroyed.

In my theological research I studied Sodom. Years back a scientist research group went through the ruins. Found traces of radium every where. One scientist mentioned that the word brimestone ,may very well be the left over traces of radium.

But then I'm not a history scholar on radium nor am I a scholar in ancient history, just in theological realms.

Take your pick...I recall what on prophet said......"And Elijah came to the people and said, 'How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him. but if baal, follow him. But the people answered him not a word." (1 Kings 18:21)

ok, so ive been reading this book called schildren of the matrix, which to be honest with you is alot of crock... except a few very thought provoking questions.... i have heard it said that the "founder" of jehovah's witnesses pastor c.t.

russell was a member of the illuminati... this author says that originally the bible students were called the "mind-control sect" by charles taze russell himself... and that he was a member of the illuminati and this was a new way to control more minds and more of the world by the aforementioned group.... what do you think???.

I can't read the WT and AWAKE anymore

hundreds of supplementary publications written by unnamed authors that can hide behind the watchtower and bible tract society and say anything without referencing it.

lately, i have been thinking that this is one of the reasons that the society does not encourage higher education.

try handing in an essay without your name on it, try not referencing your essay, try having no works cited, try to have only 1 works cited, try quoting out of context, try spewing statistics or numbers or trends in your essay with no reference or date, add ellipsis that only alert your instructor to the potential of hidden information, or try presenting as support for your thesis a third party quote.

I thought the same. Then a friend came to me and explained that to read the Awake and Watchtower you could compare it with scripture..then go tell a JW about it. You can challenge it's truthfulness.

As we all know the watchtower's bible is off(well most of us), then take it and go to 1 John 5:1...where it says..."Everyone believing that Jesus Christ has been born from God, and everyone who loves the one that caused to be born loves him who has been born from that one..."(1 John5 :1)

Meaning that everyone who believes in Christ is from God. Everyone...meaning all...are adopted by God

And to add another thought....I thought Jos Smith,Mormon, said that the book of mormon was the most accurate book in the world too...
