churches appreciating each other

yesterday i saw something i've never seen before.

a protestant church on the left side of the road has a sign saying it's their 50th anniversary.

there is a rc church right across the street.

When I was married I attended a Bible based church outside of my town in central Illinois and about once a month The local catholic church, Assembly of God, and a half dozen churches including my church got together about once a month to gather together for worship. Now I never saw a mormon or a JW come on those days and I'm sure they would be invited, if they desired so.

The scriptures clearing state that we should always get together. Christian churches may have legalistic issues among themselves, but when brings the churches together is a common bond...The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

They believed that at one time...That is before 1914 and 1975 slipped by and nothing happened.

You kind of think they stoppped dating armagodden...yet they contiue pushing it.

They thought they had it fpr 1914, as the end, but Christ said these things will take place, but the end hasn't come.

But if you really do research on the 1914 era, it'll take you back 50 years or so and that will make you think.....Besides, Russel didn't say that...

there's a sweet christian girl out there on the net, called bunnie, who may have sclerosis of the liver.

she is not a drinker and there are several ways to get it without drinking.

she's been cleared of cancer and soon going in to check her liver.

So I'm seeking all who know prayer works to pray for her. She needs it.......

Very confused, please help!

i am not a witness, however my life has been greatly affected by the religion.

my mother was disfellowshipped before i was born, and therefore has no contact with any family members.

i on the other hand have occaisional contact to my other witness family members and i love all dearly.

Funny thing about D'fd is basically scriptural...meaning to remove the unbeliever and for those who minister another gospel. But that's not what the watchtower does.

Oh I'm sure the watchtower makes one think they are doing right, but it destroyed many families and so much more in our near future. You do things their way, or it's the "Hi-way."

There are many christian churches all across the land and many, I'm sure, may disagree from one another, yet they embrace each other because thier disagreements are not on the main theme.

People who try to gain into the watchtower are taught that they must think, speak, act, sleep, dream their way(watchtower). You must believe everything they believe or you're not to become a JW.

Now if you're a JW and you begin to question some of those teachings...the commettee comes a runnin. And they tell you, you better believe their way or to be disfellowshipped..

Many who are in a have doubts of the watchtower way, they remain silent, especially if the family is many. They know what can happen.

And if you ever had a private bible study, you wonder..it's not a true bible study, it's a study of how the watchtower runs.

You need to come to them, watchtower for all needs and that's the salvation issue too. You don't go to Christ for salvation, you go to the Watchtower Society....

Seventh-day Adventists at my door

last night a member of the seventh-day adventist faith knocked on my door and offered my literature.

this is the first time that's every happened.. his approach was similar to the jw's.

--he tried to talk of topics of common interest and work that into a presentation for his literature without actually saying who he was affliliated with.

Hi Mary.....

If those or any mormon ever visit you again, you should ask them if they eveer saw the video called, "DNA vs. The Book of Mormon."

Anyway the video goes into detail about the native Americans being the main part of the mormon theory so a group of mormon scienetists go into research of DNA trying to prove that the Native Americans are the main story. So after years of DNA research, not one indian(NA) is anywhere near the isrealites.

Over thousands of NA from more then 150 tribes were DNA tested. Not one came from any isrealite tribe. Proving that the Book of Mormon is false.

Living Hope Ministries..who produced the video are willing to give a copy, free, to any mormon.

Is there anthropological evidence proving the Nephilim's existence?

i've had this question is my mind for a while now, but has there been any skeletal remains discovered that could prove the existence of the nephilim?.

there's so many unanswered questions about these giants - first of all, were they really hybrids?.

secondly, if the demons could materialise and procreate, how do we not know that they gave their children the same reproductive powers?.

According to what I've researched I had to speculate on these issues.

The Angels of God left their first poisition, came to Earth and mated with the daughters of men. These girls became pregnant and gave birth to giants,(Nephiliam)

These nephilian..their fathers being Angels so the nephilian were half spiritual beings. So when the flood came the physical half of the nephilian died, but the spiritual half fled...later to become demons. And the demons desire to have a physical body so posession became possible.

God took those Angels that left their first poisition and put them in darkness..it's said in Jude 6.

There are many schools of thought about that. Some believe that it was the sons of Seth were the Sons of God not angels. But then again, it's all speculation there.

if the watchtower was god's organization on earth in the end times, wouldn't the bible talk about this?.

there is no mention in the bible that you have to join a specific religious organization to have god's favor, or is there?

Back in the early 1970s I studied with the witnesses ( my in-laws) and gave me a copy if what was called, "The Truth Book." It is an interesting book within itself. And the very next chapter, chapter 2, Why is it wise to Examine your religion, was my favorite chapter.

So when I began to examine the Watchtower, they(my in-laws) became very upset. They told me I had no right to question their religion. So when I pointed out what the chapter was about, I never studied with them again. They refused to.

It was released in 1968..the same year the Watchtower came out with it's watchtower magAZINE WHICH WAS TITLED, "Why are you looking towards 1975?"

I still have the copy of, "The Truth that leads to Eternal Life."

Can true Christianity have some false prophets and still be true Christians

i know this sounds like a "totally" stupid question and i don't mean to offend religious people but i was talking to two jw's elders the other day at my apartment.

they came by even though they know i am disassocated and don't want to go back to the wt.

they think they can convince me that they are the truth and i would go back.

Funny thing is the watchtower always give off false information about the prophets of old. No where in scripture does the true God's prophet any false information. Read 1 Kings 13..a small story if one listens to false prophets.

Since the JWs obey exactly to Bethel, they think Bethel does no wrong. So when any JW tell you there are false prophets as God guides them, they, themselves become false prophets. Like the story in 1 Kings 13.

Jonah never gave any false prophecies. Once one says that he did tells me that, that person has no understanding of what God wishes.

Since the writings of the Torah men of God, the prophets, knew God's wishes and desires. So me a member of Bethel and I'll show you a false prophet.

While I'm on it, as reading the posts I notice a few mormons repling too, especialy from the Book of Mormon and, the Doctrine and Covenants. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the writings come out of Pearl of Great Price.

Morons don't believe in Bible Scripture....better yet, they don't trust the Holy Bible...they think they are the only ones who can translate scripture....It amazing..that's what the watchtower says too.

in the 16th century a catholic monk made the word Jehovah.......In ex. 3:14 God tells Moses...."I AM WHO I AM." In Malachi 3:1, we see that God's name was ADON. That's the Almighty's personal name, but at the same time it's reference in Malachi, is refering to Christ, also.
