by Happy indon't get me wrong, i'm not one to actively persecute jw's, i'm just wondering what you guys think is the best agrument/point to use when a pesky brother or sister just won't leave you alone.
normally, i am willing to listen to their drivel out of respect (even though i have no respect for the wt) but there are times when i am not in the mood to hear them babble.
i normally bring up the 1914 generation point, and it normally works.

Actually Shakita, that's one of my favorites too. Almost always works.
And to jgnat, I wouldn't say I want to get witnesses "out of my face" I just want them to realize that they are not going to convert me with their foolish parroting of the latest WT. Giving them something to think about normally works quite well.

You know the "Faithful and Discreet Slave"? I just wanted to point out that all three of those adjectives describing Jehovah's organiztion are lies.
1) Faithful - How can they call themselves faithful when they repeatedly twist scripture and change their teachings? The only faithfullness in the borg is their robotic slaves being ever at the ready to defend their precious WT.
2) Discreet - HA! Don't make me laugh. They are hardly discreet in their preaching. They make quite a number of claims and teach a number of things, and by no means are they discreet about them.
3) Slave - Actually slave does apply here because every JW is a slave to the mind-control of the WTBTS.
Don't be sucked in.

I have a question. How long have you been studying with the borg?... whoops, I mean with Jehovah's chosen people? You couldn't have JUST because you seem to have already begun going through the indoctrination process, but you couldn't have been studying for a long period of time or you would probably not be here, and you most vertainly would have fled when you saw all the evil apostate. I'm gonna guess a few months or so. Am I close? Also, how old are you?
On another note, you should talk to some of the people here who left the "organization", affectionately referred to as the borg, or org if you will. Once you see the damage being a witness can do to you, you won't think twice about becoming their newest brother.

Rockman,
Do yourself a favor and study the viewpoint of people opposing the JW's, take your time to explore this forum and others, and above all analyze EVERTYHING the WT tells you. I don't want to preach but if you become a witness, you will be making the biggest mistake you'll ever regret. Many people here left the WTBTS for a number of evils and false teachings that they (the WT) will not tell you about. Trust the people here and realize that you will only be hurt by becoming a JW.

My Dad died Saturday unexpectedly...

i want to happily say that i sent my dad a print-out of some of your key material re;org, last week and he read it all...witnesses were 'on his back' lately, and he appreciated it.
keep up the positive focus..it is so important..i wanted to write more, but i guess i'm in shock 'cause i just can't do it...thanks to all of you for your support and help with all the stuff that i've been on the board about..peace and love to all of you and your families..nk
