  hi folks!

  i realize that the subject that i've chosen here can indeed arouse the emotions, but i believe that most here have control of their emotions and can therefore be reasonable while discussing this topic.

  some of you believe in god and the bible, and some of you don't; but, whatever your station in life is i'm sure that you won't mind expressing your personal opinion.

  That doesn't make being a warrior any less honorable.

  The point was, that David (the person that YOU brought up) was a ISRAELITE warrior. That, in itself, makes all the difference in the world. Why? Because David fought for a nation that God had chosen to be his people. You, Yeru, fight for a nation that can't claim to be chosen of God. For that reason, no true Christian can conscientiously involve himself in the squabbles of the world.

  Get off your moral high horse and appreciate the sacrafices these warriors make for you.

  Because you wish to talk down your nose to me, Yeru, I will reply to you in a frank way, as follows: You're a soldier of a gentile nation, Yeru, and therefore not a true Christian. The Churches are full of people who lack the discernment that you show here by your comments.

  David was an Israelite. Israel was God's chosen people. No nation today can claim that same status. No nation today can claim to be chosen of God.

I realize that the subject that I've chosen here can indeed arouse the emotions, but I believe that most here have control of their emotions and can therefore be reasonable while discussing this topic. Some of you believe in God and the Bible, and some of you don't; but, whatever your station in life is I'm sure that you won't mind expressing your personal opinion. Although I wish to hear from you all, I especially would like to hear from those of you who still believe in God and the Bible. Now ............

  The picture below is that of a Marine that was killed in Iraq just recently. It's one of several pictures of him that was displayed inside a so-called "Christian" church in Sunray, Texas. What do you think God thinks about the idea of a gun-toting war hero being glorified in a building that is dedicated to the worship of the Creator? My own opinion: Although I am of the opinion that this young man will be resurrected, I think the Methodist Church has acted unwisely here.

  Adam was equal to Jesus before he sinned. The payoff remember, was a perfect life for a perfect life.

  The idea of the "ransom" is really not all that hard to comprehend. It needs to be understood that the "payoff" was life for life. The reason that just any other man could not supply the "ransom" is because there is no man that has "life". Although alive, you and I do not have "life". If we did, we wouldn't have death hanging over our heads. Adam had "life" prior to his having sinned. He did not have death hanging over his head. After he sinned he no longer had "life" ... even though he still lived for several hundred years after the fact. I'm sure that you understand the sense in which the term "life" is being used here. The ransom required that what Adam lost be repurchased. Since Adam lost "life" then there would have to be someone who had "life" to give that would serve as a ransom. Jesus could serve as the ransom because he had "life". Jesus, being sinless, was not condemned to death like we are. Prior to his sin Adam was comparable to Jesus due to the fact that Adam had "life" just as Jesus had "life". Hence, "life for life" -- THAT's the "payoff".
  

  If Adam had needed that "eternal Juice" your refering to in order to be complete so as to live forever, then the tradeoff with Jesus was not equal as Adam lacked perfection to live eternally as Jesus.

  Your way of thinking needlessly complicates the matter. At the time prior to his having sinned Adam didn't have death hanging over his head (he wasn't condemned to die). That being the case Adam had "life". Even so, he still had to *feed* his flesh with the special nutrients from the tree of life in order to maintain his health. The reason that Jesus could serve as the ransom is because he wasn't "condemned" to die. Even if there were to be a volunteer, nobody from among mankind could serve as the ransom because they are all condemned to die.

  Is Watchman guilty of the same "sin"?

  as many of you likely know, the owner of the e-watchman website constantly charges the wts with having committed spiritual fornication with the united nations organization (the so-called ngo affair).

  i would like to ask you all a question in order to find out your opinion as to whether or not watchman has done a near equivalent thing that he charges the wts with having done.

  most of you were probably aware that watchman once advertised the e-watchman site on this site here (jw.com).

  How true ... which is simply more evidence of Watchman's hypocricy. If he'd been treated the same way while posting at this site he wouldn't have 2000 posts to his name here.
