yet blindly and stubornly they cling to a sect which lies cheats ,gives missleading bible inacuracies to all its members,all in the name of jehovah god,false to jehovah and jesus in every way possible , started as a company selling magazines,copied king james version of the bible,alterd most of its main contents,was a member of the united nations for ten years or more, never informed its members of its worldly alliance,has millions of pounds or dollars in real estate is into commercial enterprise,part of the rand corporation dealing in scud misile engines, .
harbours nasty child molesters within there ranks of christian men and women.
You hit the nail on the head dantheman. I knew the answer to the question before I posted it here. Just curious as to what others had to say. I respect everyones opinions on this board, but this post is rather thought provoking to me. Does anyone have any legittimate proof that this religion is in fact based on lies? I am reading nothing but your opinions. since when is an opinion an actual fact? I find it rather easy to bash a religion when it doesn't fit in with your lifestyle or standards.

what are some of the foods you remember being served at district and circuit assemblies.
i remember every sunday was roast chicken.
also i remember them serving knockwurst and saurkraut.
I hated those wannabe SPRITE lemon limed shasta sodas.
Those Cheese Danishes were always the bomb! Remember when you had to pay with those silly tickets? My mom would always end up giving the ones we didn't use to some children she didn't know. Couldn't waste a thing in that org! I also remember when they used to serve hot food. Sometimes it was decent, other times it was gross.

were there enough people in your age/group or did you have to hang around with much older or much younger than you?
i had that problem in my congregation... a few were my age, but they were married, so we weren't often together.. did you feel isolated in your congregation because of age difference or because you were single?.
In my old hall there were alot of older friends. There was only a small handful of people my age, and the ones that were my age were all part of a clique. It's amazing that in Jehovahs organization young people can make each other feel realIy isolated. I learned quick to have any kind of social life I had to make friendships with people outside my congregation.
being raised as a witness, i don't think that i ever thought i would speak against the organization of jehovah's witnesses.

I don't consider what I say here as "talking against the truth" I am only relaying my own personal experiences to others. I am sure the majority of the people on this board come here for that very reason. Some days I wonder did I make the right decision leaving the org. Somedays I want to go back, other days I don't. I will remain undecisive. I honestly think most of you here have wrestled with that idea but won't admit it.
i got home a little late from work this evening, and my wife was getting ready for the bookstudy.
she was quite happy and we began to discuss the days activities.
things were going great.
And to think that a free home Bible study could have cost so much is almost unimaginable, but it indeed

a number of people feel that basically, not only was their life stolen from them because they were witnesses, but because of their being at one time jw's, they are screwed for the rest of their lives.

i never dressed like one of them unless i was at the hall.
i think that people looking at me would never have guessed that i was a witness.
