it's been a while since i posted anything biblical... christianity is not really my cup of tea anymore, except from a purely academic perspective.
however, i just had an interesting thought today.
the jws always say that you should submit your judgment to the organization.
So according to the Bible as understood by the Witnesses, a worshipper of Jehovah could be put to death for listening to "Jehovah's anointed representative" instead of his own reading of God's law.
But at least you wouldn't be presumptuous in thinking you know better than the GB.
my mother called a little bit ago to talk.
she works at an s.o.s.
school ( a place where all the "bad" kids go).
She then told me that she used to be so proud of me "not being a part of the world" and that she was thankful I "abstained" from all of that.....
I would've responded with, "Yeah, and I used to respect you."
ok, these damn elders have pushed it.
they've told my g/f that i don't believe in god and hate and despise him.
they've told her that by disobeying the elders advice, she is disobeying jehovah.
If you get kicked out of your mom's house then so be it. If she loses her family then so be it. Live your life YOUR WAY. It is, afterall, YOUR LIFE. If your families decide to have nothing to do with you then that is an action THEY took, not you. That's THEIR choice, not yours. And if their love has strings attached to it then I say F*** EM! Who cares if they're family or not. ANYONE that treats you badly and says that in order to have a relationship with them then you have to follow their rules should be kicked to the curb, family or not. They are all people in the long run. Disfellowship THEM!

I joined it because it sounded logical, what little info I got in the beggining, and I didn't really know alot about the bible to begin with. So they feed on this lack of knowledge, twist scriptures around to serve the JW purpose and make you feel that if you don't join then you could die. I started with the thinking, "Well, better safe than sorry."
But the more you're in the more of the REAL truth you see.

my sister in law wants to have a bible discussion with me.
Excellent! See what happens when you ask them questions that you already know the answers to? You get them to admit what you want them to admit and then their mind begins to open up. Good job!

To think some poor innocent person had to file bankruptsy because some clumsy asshole JW broke his leg on the guys property. And he shouldn't have been there to begin with. What judge granted that decision!? If you have a closed gate and a no trespassing sign it's the JW's fault! This guy's like was ruined because of this asshole.
