yeah I like all the characters and Mark Wahlberg was great too. I was just really blown away by Leonardo DiCaprio. But I just remembered I loved him in "Catch Me If You Can" and though I didn't like that he seemed to young for the role in "Aviator", I really liked that movie too. I thought Alec Baldwin was pretty good too, very funny. It's definitely a movie I'd see over again. And paying $10 bucks at the theater didn't hurt at all this time.

I saw "The Departed" the other night and I absolutely loved it. It's very violent though, I must warn those of you who are a little sensitive like myself. Leonardo DiCaprio was excellent, to say the least. I was never a fan of his. With the exception of What's Eating Golbert Grape I don't care for his movies/acting. But he is so good in this movie . . . The movie was so intense. I was worried for his safety throughout the whole movie. Anyone else see it? If so, what did you think?

I've seen him several times out in Hollywood at the Laugh Factory. This was suring 2000 and 2003. He was always very funny and one of my favorites. Lately it seems like many of the comedians use the same materail and unless you follow the comedy world closely it is hard to tell who is original. I always thought Dane Cook was original but I could be wrong. But he definitely has a hell of a lot of energy and he is entertaining, at least I like him.

Did u want to leave the org bcause u were doing something immoral?
by Will2Power in..and then sought to justify your leaving the organisation/religion by researching websites like this (to salve your conscience, justify continuing in your pleasurable but unscriptural lifestyle), or did you sincerely leave purely because you discovered certain false teachings, scandals, etc, while still living a moral, christian lifestyle?
be honest now, i mean really honest.
(this is not meant to offend anyone but viewed like a survey).

For me I slowly stopped going to the kingdom hall b/c I was too busy having fun with friends and living my young adult life. I always thought I'll get it right and go back once I get all this thirst for fun out of my system. Then when I seriously started to think about my future in regards to religion and going back to the KH I found this lovely website. I came on here only seeking support from people in the same situation as me. I had intentions of going back to the KH. But very quickly those few doubts I had surpressed came to the surface. And I am now an official ex-jdub. I now have peace of mind which I never had as a faithful dub.

You can also go to meetup.com and search ex-jehovah's witnesses. Then you can type in your zipcode and find out if there are any close enough to you. If not you can start a group yourself.

Do you miss 'em?
by Jourles inif you're df'd or da'd and your friends and family have cut you off, do you still miss them?.
i miss some of my good friends i admit.
but do you want to know something really callous?

sandy
I cannot imagine being cut off from my family completely. My parents will never be die-hard dubs so I don't fear that happening. My relationship with some of my siblings is quite different now and pretty distant. So I guess I miss the type of relationship I never had with them. The type where you can say anything to one another without any fear or hesitation. My sisters and I never had that type of bond, there are still topics that are off limits.

Ex-JW caller on the Dr Laura Program
by sandy inan ex-jw called the dr. laura show today.
i always miss the beginning of the jw callers.
did anyone hear it?

Well Dr. Laura really does have a lot of great advice. But she definitely has been way over the top these past few years or so when it comes to the USA. Her opinions on college surprise me a little bit. I listen on and off. What I absolutely love about Dr. Laura is that her advice is always about what is in the best interest of the kids. Maybe she isn't truly informed about J-dubs. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt.

An ex-jw called the Dr. Laura show today. I always miss the beginning of the JW callers. Did anyone hear it? I believe the lady had an affair, left her husband and the religion. Her kdis (two i think) are still witnesses. She has custody and O think the questions was should she still take them to their meetings. Dr. Laura didn't let her really explain why she didn't want to. She just told her she should cont. to take them even if she doesn't go herself. Oh, I think the ? was should she not take them and give them the opportunity to experience other things. Anyways, again did anyone hear the show? Maybe the caller posts on here. I am usually with DR. Laura and I see where she is coming from with this but sometimes she acts like the only good people in the world are the ones who believe in God and attend some type of religious meetings.
