I agree ST.S, My non J-dud family and friends do not look at me with the suspicious eye the duds did. I feel more relaxed and therefore more willing to do things with and for them. Conversations flow in all directions, where as with the duds all things lead back to the borg. Maverick

Worldlings are Great
by Satanus ini must be blending into 'the world'.. this allows me to relax more, just be me, instead of always 'striving' to 'do more' or be better, or always waiting expectantly for something spectacular to happen.
after 7 yrs, the wt training continues to fall away.
do you notice your wt programming weakening, or disappearing?.

Drugs?
by be wise ini think this is my first debatable topic.
for anyone who has experimented with recreational drugs or who knows about someone who has how do you think they can change you for the better as well as for the worse?
i know a few ways in which they really changed me, i was very shy and never felt compfortable around people until i had my first experience and felt totally unhibited around a room full of people (talking in retrospect) and i never forgot what that felt like - it opened my mind and i learned to become much more confident.

I was in High School at the end of the 60's and into the early 70's, and that was a good name for it...'high school'! Tripped and smoked dope all the time...what a waste! I was a very, very, very smart guy. I wiped out enough brain cells that now I am just very smart! I wish I never did any of it! Now, if I need a change...two twinkies and a coca cola and I'm in an altered conscience state! Maverick

In your experience, do JW's show hospitality?
by Gopher inand i don't just mean "formal" hospitality that is scheduled on the announcement board for visiting speakers and travelling overseers.. i mean real, from the heart, love of strangers (xenophilia in greek).
xenophobia (fear of strangers) is the antithesis of hospitality.. when you visited other halls where nobody knew you (and you weren't the guest speaker or the travelling overseer), did people go out of their way to make you feel welcome?
or did they mutter to themselves, "i wonder who the stranger is?

I travel a lot and would look up the nearest Hall. I found a pattern. One of the Elders wives would always come right over to me and, in a very smooth manner, grill me. I would politely explain to them I was working in the area and once I told them for whom I was working they would lighten up. Well known people in their community living in high-end homes, which I stay in. Once, one elderett told me she recognized the car I was driving, and when I told her that these people gave me the car while I was working on their home for the next six weeks, she started pointing out all the single sisters in the Hall! But in all of that I was never invited socially anywhere. Sevice yes, but never to a witness home. Some even wanted me to let them tour the homes I was working in!... NOT! How tacky, I don't do tacky! Maverick

Garybuss: We are a threat to the power of the borg. We can infect the minds of the J-duds. The borg soften their minds up. They have to do that to control them, but this is also a weakess that us big bad apostates can exploit. So we are portrayed as the worst kind of evil, the bogieman lurking under the bed waiting for the poor sweet Duds feet to hit the floor! BOO! What a bunch of goofs!Maverick

JW's not happy people

Notes from the Convention
by Gadget ini was at the convention today, and noticed a number of interesting points in the program.. 1cor 10:31; "therefore, whatever you are eating and drinking or doing anything else, do all things to gods glory.
" they said that everything that we do is up to our conscience, but how would what we are doing reflect on jehovah.
at the same time they said jehovah is not a dictator.... "pay more than the usual attention.

How did you stuck in the JW borg ???????
by run dont walk in.
i was born into it, and had a rough ride getting out, not much fun growing up having little respect (didn't want to use the hate word) for your parents/family.. i can honestly say my parents had no idea how life works, as is the case for most jw's.. how did you get stuck in it, and how long did it take you to finally walk away (or still trying to) ???
(took me years)

The WatchTower world is just a hollow shell. It has no substance. There are two kinds of J-duds; those who need to be in control and those who need to be controlled. Many Elders and J-dud masters, CO's etc. need the org. They are NOTHING without it. And the others want someone else to be responsible. They just defer control and therefore responsibility, at least in their own minds. These are weak people, or people in a weakend state. How can any of this make a person truly happy? Maverick

Old Judge R. was the biggest most 'evil' slave of them all. And this bunch almost deified that jerk! This 'class' garbage this such a joke. The flock, or 'stupid gullible' class just lap it up from the 'phony full of self-important crap' class. All the while us 'sorry we ever believed, but glad we now know better' class shake our heads and wonder when the roof will cave in on them. Maverick
