Trinitarians! Who is Jesus Christ's father the Holy Spirit or the Father?

this is one question that trinitarians try to avoid because they have created a very embarrassing problem.

the bible is very clear when the angel tells mary that holy spirit will overshadow her and she will become pregnant.

the angel does not say the father will overshadow her but the holy spirit will and if the holy spirit is a person that would make him the father of jesus.

I just thought about this the other day...Most folks believe God & Jesus are the same....all I can say is....Jesus did a good job of imitating his Father, the entire world thinks he is God himself....Is that a bad thing...wasn't that the point...for Jesus to come to earth & peach & teach & imitate his father ? If we obey Jesus it's the same as obeying his Father God...a friend of mine said something so profound...

"If you fight with one, then what? You fight both. If you go along with
one, you go along with the other one by default"....

When you come to think of it....isn't it true...So witnesses say Satan has blinded many....ummm, maybe not..Most folks believe in God/Jesus, whether they are the same or not, most folks believe in Jesus dying for our sins, & the resurrection...Here is where most doctrines differ....will we come back as angels in heaven or a paradise earth, or be reincarnated....No one knows...is the God's kingdom in heaven or in our hearts...

All that to say again....Jesus really reflected his father to the utmost...No wonder everyone feels God & Jesus are the same. Thumbs up Jesus!!!!!!

How many here (believers) believe in the Hell fire doctrine and why??

it's obvious the bible is very clear on a actual hell of fire.

"cursed into the eternal fire with the devil and his angels", rev.20:15.

"lake of fire", rev.21:8 "fire and brimstone".

I don't..this is what they say....I use to go to church....it's mostly motivational speaking...maybe a few old time preachers still preach fire & brimstone. I don't pay too much attention to what they say in the hall, I take what I need & toss out the rest. Especially, when they talk about others. Because I consider that judging....& I don't want God's job...it's too difficult...but obviously, they don't mind .....

Call the media...say something...that's why nobody knows anything outside of the org...everybody comes to sites like these...& tell their story....Tell it to the media....make them pay attention...seems when folks have a real beef with the org. they vent, but nobody ever goes to the media...maybe a few, but a story like this may help others to come forth....Why are folks afraid of telling the media...& not some hokey town paper...today the biggest news is where is the plane...the media is looking for something else to talk about because they can't find the plane...so this story will distract him...oh heck, get in touch with the white house. Labor Board...draw some attention. Help the ones that are in to see TTATT....not for the religion to collapse but to let them see what is really going on with.."GOD'S ORG"...& that it isn't his org....

Are all JWs united in their beliefs?

so i used to think that all witnesses believed the same exact thing but i have heard some claims that they believe things i'm not familiar with.

They are united in one thought...& this is the domineering thought...."THIS IS GOD'S ORGANIZATION"..that is what you can get them to all agree on. Why? Because that makes them feel elite....& that's most of the witnesses motivation for staying...oh yes, 1914....many don't know what happened in 1914 but they do agree on that date...ah, forgot....607 BC...I looked in the encyclopedia & it mentions another date...yet the witnesses say not to trust worldly info., but don't they quote from the encyclopedia as well...

We have only a few choices....Most places of worship always hold doctrines over christians heads to make them behave...In most churches, if you are good you go to heaven, if you are not....you go to hell....In the hall, they hold disfellowshipping over the friends heads, if you don't repent (the way they think you should) you will be destroyed (never to be heard of again). Either way, man always has to hold stuff over human's heads to make them obey.

So, the choice is Heaven, Hell, Disfellowshipping/Shunning (this is done while you are still alive, now that's painful) or Destruction. No matter how you look at it....it ain't pretty.

Take away 1914....snap, crackle pop....Take away the door to door, what would guilty or can't stay at home with myself (cause their thoughts chase them out of their own homes)....always on the witness treadmill...type of witnesses do....but basically take away, nineteen fourteen away....tongue tied isn't the word, brain freeze...

I would love to take a trip to Jerusalem & find a place where I could find the destruction date....anything from the an American web-site wouldn't convince them....They couldn't fight that one....imagine, I take a vacation to Jerusalem...I come back & share with the friends...guess what I found out...& blam, throw down the facts on the table....

OK..Seriously..Has GOD ever answered your prayers????

look...i am not an atheist.

even so, i have never had one prayer answered my entire life.

the only thing that would even come close was learning ttatt.

Seriously, he must answer prayers..I'm still here....some of the stuff I've done in my younger years, may have merited me not to be here any more. There are prayers answered everyday, even for folks who don't pray..what about a drug user, that has a healthy baby. Or a druggy that kicks drugs. Somebody today just heard they were in remission of cancer or someone just had a healthy baby. Good stuff happens to good folks, bad stuff happens to good folks, good stuff happens to bad folks...& so on...when the sun is shinning does it decide who it will shine on or not shine on...the sun shines on the good & the bad..so some prayers are answered.

The thing is what is our attitude when our prayers are not answered...should we only use God in an emergency...& then other times we rely on ourselves....how would feel about a friend who only called on you when you needed something...I call that a fair weather'd friend....it's when we don't get what we want that we tend to question whether God answers prayers...there are many people in the world that are not on this Forum & many could verify that God does answers prayers....Plus it depends what you ask for....One may ask for a car & don't have a licsence the first....& has anger problems...if they pray to God for a car....should he/she give it to them so that others who pray will be struck down by this person & they won't be able to ever pray..

A talk was given at my hall...from a bethelite....he was as usual talking about Jah, what he does & doesn't do...He was talking about Jehovah saving folks. The brother talked about 911 in NYC, he says, God watched as the plane crashed into the first building, he watched as the second building collasped, he didn't do anything, I was on the tie-line, it sounded so cruel...just the way the brother delivered it...the hall was silent & I can bet how many folks might have taken it in...I just sat there & listened...and said, wow, God watched it all & didn't do nothing...so the point of this, was to say, that folks always wonder why Jehovah doesn't save or intervene or allow suffering....Because when Jesus his son was nailed to the cross/stake, God didn't save his own son, so why would he save us....

So as you see if God wouldn't intervene with his Son, watching him go through torture & didn't lift a finger because he wanted to show everyone that one person would be obedient to him, 'til the end...to show Satan & the World...gives you something to think about....if a Father won't save his own child to show someone who is Boss....'nuf said....

But I always thought, how one would feel if they knew they would have to die but was guaranteed to come back after 3 days...reminds me of someone taking the rap for a crime/stealing money, promised the money if they just did a little time in prison...what would you do ? Maybe Jesus asked his father God, Listen Pop, you want to go to earth suffer, & die for 3 days & you'll bring me back, how am I to suffer...will it hurt ? God says well yeah, it's gonna hurt but I'm bringing you back...Just do this for me...OK ? Jesus replies: Ok, but you gonna bring me back, right ?

Ladies - how often should you wash your hair??

i've cut my hair washing from every 2 days to every 4 days and this week, i've left it 7 days.

it's been growing much better and is in great condition!

Ever see a bald headed hobo/homeless person? Nope, everything in balance....Washing ones hair depends on what type of hair you have. Some folks have to wash their hair more often because it gets oily. Black people have to put oil in their & folks that have straight hair, have to wash it out. I say wash it when it begins to smell...

I believe it depends on ones hair type. Don't ask hairdressers, they make money, so they'll tell you to wash your hair once a week, & you must go to them because you need a conditioner treatment...Not so....our hair comes from our scalp..so it's how you eat & take care of yourself.
