How a JW thinks is this...that God is perfect but the org. isn't....So what the friends have to see & hear is that, Elders knew of child molestors, & of who came forward to say Brother So & So did it...it's really connecting the dots...To get the friends to say they told Elder or Brother so & so, & was told not to tell the police...that's the meat & potatoes of it. Sure, some brothers where sex offenders, & if no report has been made that they were still doing that, then that's ok...don't guess, the Elders would stand up in front of the stage & announce who is a sex offender, but to have a family come to you & say what has happened & the brother says, shhh, don't tell the police...that's a crime, to know but not tell....2 witness rule...phooey...I don't want the org. to crash & burn, but to make the friends aware that brothers knew but told the families not to say anything, that's what the friends need to know. That families were so afraid of being disfellowshipped they didn't go to the police, that they loved the org. more than their kids...someone on this site also started a topic of why didn't the families go to the police? They were afraid to...& why were they afraid, because they were told not to. The Friends must be aware of the scare tactic & like the Catholics, if it's true, some will stay & some will leave. But again, it's not about anything else as that THEY BELONG TO GOD'S ORGANIZATION....now that's the meat & potatoes of the average witness. That is what floats their boats...& now they are all wearing badges ..JW.ORG. finally a badge of honor...of what they have been waiting for...The witnesses say, God is going to clean his houses...well, I guess, the org. is on his hit list too. I've talked to many of them & they know but they still think it's God's org. with imperfect people....& I want to say so badly, well, that's everyone....there are imperfect folks everywhere...The Org., should have never started pointing fingers at others & then God would have saved them...if they minded their business, & stayed down wind. If you judge you will eventually be judged.

on oct. 22, eight brothers were released from prison in turkmenistan by presidential amnesty.

(see 2014 yearbook, p. 31) the ninth brother is still imprisoned, but it is hoped that he will be released shortly.

some were already in prison for three or more years and had been severely mistreated.

Everyone has a cell phone...more than half the world...even in poor countries, they have cellphones...do you really know what that means...

"NOBODY IS HOME".... so that's why the JW.org & other ways the society is trying to reach the public. I go out almost every Saturday & sometimes Sunday...We knock on the same doors, not every week because we give them a break & go to another territory, but they know us there too. While we are doing door to door & street work, what do we see, folks walking about, even though it's the weekend or the weather isn't so good, they are out & about...doing whatm? TALKING ON THEIR CELLPHONES...& guess what, if someone is knocking on a witnesses door, guess what, we aren't home either...

Once at the hall, they asked how many in the congregation come to the hall via by a knock on the door...crickets....aka: no one.

If you have ever been in service, the witnesses don't care how many hours it takes to get one convert...to them it's at least one that they think will be saved. They don't look at the #'s the way most folks look at numbers...2 million hours for one convert....IT'S THAT WONDERFUL...that's the average thought of a witness...It's all about the hours...if it wasn't why do they have to remind the congregation at the end of the month to turn in your time...if it wasn't about the time, they would turn in whatever hours they had whether it was 1 hr. or more....You know why? Because it is about the hours, they don't want to be approached to have a brother say, ah, sister or brother so & so, you only have x amount of hours this month is everything ok ? Yet, they always refer to the widow who only had 2 pennies to give & she gave her best...When I went to church we called that the Widows Mite...Your spirituality is judged by your hours...I was asked why don't I auxilary pioneer...shucks, it's hard enough to make 8 hrs a month..I'm not about to add more pressure to myself & add 30 hrs. to stress myself out...& you know what I don't feel guilty at all, I do the best I can....I'm only human & have nothing to prove..

Why don't parents of an abused child go straight to police, why go to an elder first??

i hope i don't come across as judgemental but having read a lot on the current child abuse cases and the different threads on here, i am left wondering why on earth a parent of an abuse victim would go to an elder with the problem first and not straight to police?.

as a parent myself i know that if anything like that happend to my child (this applies to when i was still an active jw as well as now) i would not hesitate in going to the authorities as soon as i found out, it wouldn't of crossed mine or my husbands mind to go to an elder.

maybe after we had reported it but definitely never as the first port of call.

I'm just happy you posted this..how does it go National, I live in a place where I don't know if this is happening, so how can I go to the media, these things happened outside my state..How does one get the attention of the BIG BROTHER MEDIA, so the friend will see. I'm not looking for the Society to fall, but for the friends to stay in if they want, after hearing the truth ...many Catholics stayed after they found out what the Priest were doing. I think many are afraid that there are child abuse issues in the org. Why? Because now they have to eat crow..Just picture this...you go around knocking on doors, turning your back on some friends & family because you belong to God's org...& you are bold & even rude about it...How can you in turn, go back to these folks that you may have offended or shunned because of the truth. That's a lot of crow to swallow. When I go out in service, I try to be confident, but I'm not rude & I don't say anthing about being in God's org. it's that I'm here to help you see, there is something bigger than us. To bring comfort to folks, not to hit them over the head with the bible & say, you gonna die, if you don't join me. Really it's all in your approach of how you approach folks, I like the way Paul said, he was weak when they were weak, he was a Jew, if they were a Jew...meaning he was flexible...& he felt he had the truth but he didn't beat folks over the head with it, he just stated what he believed.

Again, I don't know how to make this a national concern....but hope one day it's exposed & the friends will stay in the org by choice not by scare tactics. The org is afraid of losing their congregation, but they weren't in 1975, when the end didn't come.

why would satan (whether gog or not) be cast to the earth?.

why not cast him to quadrant 4 of the galaxy?.

To further show...Man cannot direct his own steps....until we are all walking around like death warmed over, bleeding from all openings in our body...we all fall on our knees...& Say...Obi Wan Canobe....You're our only hope....Jehovah, is trying to make a point...see...you do need me....but I want the entire world to need me...That's why I created all of you, To Worship me....Oh sure, I had the angels, but they were boring...worshipping me day & night, flying around all day long....they never sleep...wear white all the time...so I made humans...

My question is a little different...why make a rule of not eating something in the first place...because once the rule is made, it has to be upheld...I try sooo hard to believe in God/Jesus...but late at night, questions like this one Satan Cast to Earth crosses my mind & many other things...

So there was trouble in Heaven before it ever came to earth ? I hope this isn't blaspheme....if God couldn't control the angels....& he created them too.

Finally, someone on here said it...I've said this a million times but never on this site. I didn't want to offend anyone, but I want to say in a comment ....What the heck is wrong with you ? Go to the police..then they can in turn go to the elders or let the police go to them to follow-up. A while ago, a sister told me a story of her child being touched by an elder, & she approached the elders, & they did nothing...but I wanted to say, why didn't you go to the police, she was so angry at the elders...The Elders are just men..Happy@last hit it, many don't think for themselves, & most likely never did or will. I think many of the friends think Elders can fix anything...Back to the sister that told me the story...when she finished telling me, the story was kind of convuluded...I think she dropped the ball somewhere along the line....Many of the friends think the congregation are baby-sitters....so they may trust the congregation with their children, & can't blame them, it's supposed to be safe, but as a parent, your children are you responsibilty, they friends will help, but not do your job....I agree, call the Police...& let them handle it...Not saying that the abuse cases are not true, but one has to listen to the circumstances, maybe some of the parents & victims are not telling all that happened, yet, I'm not saying these things didn't happen...There are 3 sides to every story...His, hers & The Truth...Thanks Feeling Free for bringing this out..

Welcome...I'm still in as well...You'll love this site...even if you choose to stay in for as long as you can....this site let's you know, you are not crazy & it's good place to vent....lovely folks here...They don't know how much they have helped me...I can sit there until I get the nerve to leave & know TTATT. Plus you get to find out what's going to happen before it happens...Whatever you think you see & hear in the hall, trust yourself...it is what it is...many are in there & know that some of the stuff is bogus but for whatever reason...they stay...me, because I like the friends. I like reading the bible, because I believe what's in there...not man's interpretation...oh yes, sometimes the brothers get it right, but they can't color outside the lines, because some are on a mission for a name in the Society. Keep coming to this site, you won't regret it...it'll help you stay in or leave, but either way, you won't be alone...

Hi,

I'm a witness. I have witness friends & friends that are not witnesses...The ones that are not witnesses respect what I do & we have been friends for years, & they have been there for me all the while..in good times & bad times...I enjoy being with the witnesses & have good times, & I have good times with my friends...we are older now, so we meet for dinner or just talk on the phone & it's nice to talk to someone you have a history with...I think sometimes we shoot ourselves in the foot by leaving our friends that we've had for years...you live an inbred life if you only associate with witnesses. I hear this so much on different JW sites...If you have had friends from your childhood & they respect what you do...Don't let man dictate who you should hang out with...didn't you read man cannot even direct his own steps....You should be mature enough to know what is bad association & what is good associations...I'm not trying to be hard hearted but the truth is....widen out while you are a witness...have all types of interactions with all types of folks...because there may be a time that you may decide you don't want any part of being a witness...If you treat your non-witness friends with respect as they should you, then there is a life...Life is a balance...being with only one type of peoples is just not healthy...Just think real friend don't shun...some of us are trying to make friends in the org. that really are forced, & just good acquaintances...good friends are hard to find, & some times friends don't have a lot in common but there is a special bond...you have to ask yourself this question...when you were a witness did YOU SHUN YOUR NON-WITNESS FRIENDS...

has taken us back to the 1990's with many pages of blood hero's yes brothers who sued the doctor who saved them...april cadoreth only 14 severe internal bleeding the doc got a court order to give her 3 units of packed red blood cells.

Funny last night, this Topic came to me mind...& I thought the same thing...how would she know about "Rape" at 14, or even violated. Unless, she was raped before...how can you speak of something you SHOULD have no knowledge of...Today folks are just extra...they are not thirsty anymore...they are dyhydrated...So she is angry because she is still alive....my my my....she could pray to God to take her now...is that mean ? It's all about rights I suppose...Her free will to die..Wonder where they are today ?

If many come forward, they can't say it's Satan...it's the Socieity hiding...& that's what the friends need to hear & see. When the Catholics were exposed, it did affect much of the congregations, but the Catholic religion is still here & folks still go to the Catholic Church...But see the Catholic Church isn't saying they were or are morally clean or that they are God's mouth piece....That's what troubles the Society...I don't think they would have worried too much if they never said those statements. Now they are running around trying to put out fires...don't think they will be able to extingush them fast as they start...I think this is going to be a start of an avalanche of complaints...& the Society won't be able to keep up..Wonder if there are any cases in NYC or State ....
