I feel bad for my lame brain family members who will feel guilty because they cannot promise to give anything. They can barely make ends meet each month.
Why the F do they need all this money if the god damn freaking end is so f'n close! I don't know how much longer I can keep my mouth shut anymore when my family preaches to me. This is just sick!

JWs in a frenzy!
by leaving_quietly inanyone else get the distinct impression that jws are being worked up into a frenzy with all the changes and activity nowadays?
by the end of august, there will have been four campaigns inside of a year.
one last november, a memorial campaign, a convention campaign and an advertise jw.org campaign.. then there's the conventions with all the hooplah around that with all the video, and the aggrandizement of synchronized gb talks.

Wt Wizard, I am not offended by Jokehovah. LOL I do not take it as a personal insult against God. The Wt org. is a joke and they have made their God a joke.
Okay, so I don't get it. My brother is also speculating about the end as the 100 year mark is coming up. Didn't they fix this back in the late 90s with the change in the meaning of "Generation". The WT is shaking in their boots right now doing all they can to confuse and scare everyone.
Lord knows we are living in the information age and a few little clicks on the internet will expose these clowns for what they really are, a false prophet.
For Goodness sakes dubs! Wake up and put down the KoolAid!

LisaRose, I did call myself. I know at least one other person called CPS as well. I think the parents are evading CPS as they do not have a permamnent address. The adult daughter and 2nd eldest moved out. The two other teenage girls are with the parents.

Lately, I have been feeling like I should just send a mass text message to my family and say: "Love me or leave me I'm an APOSTATE!"
They pretty much already know but since we never discuss it they (most of them) over look it.

Yes, CA does require clergy to report. I was just wondering if and how the elders would try and get around reporting child abuse of any kind.
The law is clear for mandated reporters. It is not only first hand knowledge but a reasonable suspicion of abuse.

I called the WT legal dept this morning. They passed me around a few times and put me on hold a few times. I was looking for a simple yes or no answer and finally got one after too much time on the phone.
I asked if Elders are mandated reporters in the state of CA. The final answer was "if the law requires it, yes". The first answer was it depends on the type of abuse. Okay, I told him for at least the third time, I am talking about child abuse. He wanted all the specifics, elders names, names of family involved, congregation name. He even tried to get my full name after I told him I am not a JW. I didn't want to give him my name or the family's name and told him so. I did tell him the city of the congregation which is really all I know. He then asked if I knew the street name. Geez! Why all the questions I asked him. I really am only looking for a yes/no answer. I did end up giving him a lot of the specifics of the situation but no names or places. That is when he finally gave me a final answer, if State law requires then yes they are mandated to report.
I was so annoyed! The elders in this situation should have reported a long time ago! I am still not convinced they did.
I found out the name of the congregation and I will call them Thursday nite and ask them if the reported it. I don't expect an answer or even an honest answer but I will ask.

QFR August 15, 2014 - Resurrection and Marriage
by wisdomfrombelow inthe article addressed luke 20:34-36 and now they finally admit jesus could have been referring to the heavenly resurrection.
they said "put simply, the answer is that we cannot say" which is surprising because they have something to say about everything.
perhaps all the old people who are waiting the new world as widow and widowers want to know if they have a chance to be reunited with their dead loved one.

I like the idea of the cousin going in disguise. LOL
Seriously, I would invite my cousin if I was close to him. I would just inform the dubs he is coming and ask them to decide ASAP if they will attend or not. That way you wont waste money on any idiot who would choose to walk out
