  i sent out wedding invitations last week.

  apparently they caused my parents to get a divorce.

  i got an e-mail from my mother saying that she left my dad, is filing for divorce, and that dad thinks she left because she wants to go to my wedding and he won't let her.

  i mean, 50+ folks gathered in dallas this past weekend, and two long-time posters from jwd even got married there to boot... and no one has posted a single picture anywhere (that i can tell).

  c'mon, people... remember that not all of us could go!

  could someone either paste the link to the picture thread here... or post pictures in this thread?

  i'd like to ask you all whether or not you think that we are being petty here.

  the house next door to us has been empty for a while now.

  the last person to use it was a chinese doctor who used to house illegal immigrants which looked after his little cannabis factory.

  1) Call the city and tell them that someone has run off with your bin and left you with theirs, which is in bad shape. Could they "recycle" their old one and give you a new one? WATCH OUT for this new one disappearing.

  2) When you get the new one, or even if you don't, you can arrange to have someone take in your can as soon as the garbage is taken in. Remember... he will be sticking it out himself each week. You could reclaim it and he'll be stuck with the old one. This could become a weird game each week...

  3) Is there a landlord? Or is he the owner? If there is a landlord, talk with him/her and let them know you will be displeased if other things start disappearing from your area.

  4) Learn to drink vodka and speak Russian. Then steal his garbage can. If you can't beat'em, join'em...

  everyone really stepped up and helped enormously... if it were not for all of you the apasta-crawfest would not have been anywhere as great.

  a bethel insider in the know told me that all of the child abuse lawsuits where the watchtower bible and tract society was one of the defendants were settled back in the beginning of this year.

  i questioned it and called napa myself and they were absolutely settled back then.

  Oh, and even if someone did win in court, you know how much publicity it would get?

  NOT MUCH.

  You know why?

  BECAUSE NO ONE CARES THE HELL ABOUT JWS OTHER THAN JWS AND EX-JWS.

  I don't completely agree. The WTS is very visible in Brooklyn and a black eye over child sexual abuse might be of great interest in NYC. It would interest ME if I were a resident there, anyway!!

  Angels

  hey "i am a newbie poster" and would like a running start here with a problem i have to solve.

  a certain bible-reading friend thinks that her apartment is full of angels.

  in last week's discussion of angels, i understand that an angel is only sent by god to certain people in order to complete specific messages from jehovah.

  This is like trying to trying to explain just exactly where Jesus showed up in 1914.

  I had a friend in Michigan who was obsessed with angels and demons. Over time I slowly backed away from her because she began to get delusional--really delusional, and began to accuse my 6-yr old son of sexually molesting her 8-yr old.

  If someone honestly believes that angels are involved in their life, well it's possible. But there's no requirement for you to believe this; s/he may be wrong, you know.

  i'm a single guy, 30,tall 6'2" single never married, no kids, great job and no "issuses" to speak of,but you'd never know from the rejection i've gotten from sister after sister.

  There's actually an "apostafest" happening in Texas this very weekend. It's a big deal!! It's an apostacrawfest, I believe it's in Dallas. LOTS of folks there, and there's an aposta- wedding going on to boot if I got that right.
