Great Crowd is NOT under the New Covenant...Where does it say this?
by Christ Alone ini was wondering if there was anywhere someone could point to in the bible for the watchtower belief that the great crowd is not included in the new covenant.
i know that this is their line of thinking when it comes to jesus being mediator.
they say that jesus is only mediator of the new covenant and since the gc is not under the new covenant, jesus is not specifically a mediator to them.

What Watchtower Belief/View Never Sat Right With You?
by minimus inbut their views on blood are just plain weird!
meat has blood in it even if it's bled.
still eating meat means consuming blood.

All the crap about 1914
The “this generation” teaching/changes

Scriptural reason why only the anointed can partake?
by StephaneLaliberte inits weird, but im trying to find scriptures used by the wtbs to back the following assumption:.
*** w81 4/1 p. 12 celebrating the death of the greatest man ever on earth ***.
it is because the founder of the celebration set it up for observance by those with whom he made a covenant for the heavenly kingdom.. .

There is so scriptural reason.
Jehovah's witnesses are taught that Jesus is not their mediator that he is only the mediator for the 144,000.
Yet the bible says:
“There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus.” - 1 Timothy 2:5
Jesus said to that we should partake of the Lord's supper because:
Luke 22:19:
And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me."
The act of taking the the emblems and then passing them is a rejection of Christ. So the WT leads millions to reject the body and the blood of Christ and has gone so far as to say that they "the GB" are the real mediator between the rank and file and God, not Christ.
If that's not Anti Christ teaching then I don't know what is.

There are some questions I have had about the JWs view "post-Armaggeddon"
by booker-t ini have always wondered how jws believe about "post-armaggeddon" earth.
question#1 how will jws survivors bury all of the dead bodies.
with about 4 billion people on earth today how can 8 million jw(1/2 of them children and babies) bury all of those dead bodies?

If you really think about it, nothing about this endtimes teaching makes any sense at all.
And I do not believe that the JW's will survive any coming destruction anyway because they have not accepted Christ as their savior. I really see them as part of the Anti-Christ.
The bible tell us that when Christ returns those that are saved and still alive will be "caught up" in the clouds to go and be with the Lord forever.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
New International Version (NIV)
15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
Now the JW will have you believe that only the 144,000 will be "caught up" and the rest will be left to rebuild a paradise earth. But there is nothing in scripture to indicate that.
I believe that most of what the JW's teach about the end is a result incorrect interpertation and out right lies and that most of they teach had to do with the fall of Jeruselum.
They twist scriptures, and make up things like second fullfillments, etc. and even rewrite/reword scriptures to fit their twisted docturines.
The truth is to be saved you must do as it says in Acts 16:31, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household".
If you do that then you have no need to worry or be concerned about the end, or what will happen after.

What was the "logical straw" that broke your camel's back?
by Pacopoolio ini had a bunch of tiny little nags that always bothered me about the bible/god/etc.
that eventually led to me drifting away, but this was my personal, singular issue that no one could address.
i think i mentioned it before here, but, for summation again:.

I really think I started to wake up when 1975 came and went without issue. But I was young and I think I just thought "well they were off a few years but its right around the corner". Then they pulled the "overlapping crap" and that caused me to look into the 1914 theory and well that was it for me.
Since then some of the other things that truly hit home:
Michael is Jesus
144,000
The blood doctrine

The Finished Mystery
Crisis of Conscious
NWT errors

I'm so sorry for your loss. What you and your wife did was very kind. I hope you can take some comfort in the fact that you were both able to be with your loved until the end and give him much needed comfort at the end of his life.
The WTS and its followers have a single focus and that's doing the biding of the FDS. When you are brainwashed, as they all are though most don't realize it, at some point you become void with little human compassion remaining.
I have witnessed this first hand as I watched my grandmother, a devoted JW for more than 50 years; waste away in a nursing home with barely a visit from even one of her JW brothers and sisters.
Once you are free of the cult you can see all of this. You realize that this organization has nothing at all to do with Christianity. To be a true Christian means to be Christ like and there is nothing even remotely Christ like about how these people behave and how they treat others.

Confused?
by nomorepain13 ini have been going to meetings since i was a child, long story short only recently i've started taking the truth seriously, i am not baptized but just an unbaptized publisher.
truth is i am so lonely in the congregation.
the other young people in the cong don't like me because they dont think i am going to "stay" for long, i've even worked on the ministry with an older brother and asked her am i giving the wrong impression to people?

Thanks for sharing your experiences nomorepain.
Although I am quite a bit older than you, our stories are very much a like.
I would suggest that you turn to the bible for the answers. There are also many sites like JWfacts and this site that will help you find some of the answers you may be seeking. You might find that not fully commiting to the WT was truly for the best.
Good luck to you.

Active JW's, can you defend "THE TRUTH?"
by DATA-DOG inas of yet, no member of the jehovah's witness faith can defend their unique beliefs.
when the dust settles, it all comes down to blind faith in men's ever-changing ideas.
this "unique belief" was not a "true teaching of the bible.

what we are doing but I'd really like to have DOT or someone who is still active defend the following:
Jesus: Do you really belief that Jesus and Michael are one in the same? If so please dedend/back up this belief with scripture.
Is Jesus your Mediator or is the GB/FDS your Mediator? If you believe it is the GB/FDS can you defend this belief scripturally?
Jehovah: Who said "Ye shall be my witnesses?" Was that Jesus or Jehovah? Can you defend the name "Jehovah's Witneses" with scripture?

We were never allowed toys of any kind at our hall. I grew up in the 60's when the JW ranks were growing in leaps and bounds because everyone thought the world would end in 1975.
I was never allowed to miss a meeting and was expected not only to sit and listen attentatively but I also had to "comment" during the Watchtower study.
