by minimus inthat question is raised on page 709 in the "proclaimers" book.

Borg monitoring of this board
by core inare the borg still monitoring this board (and others)?
if so they seem to be allowing a large amount of time before taking any retributive action.
has anyone heard of any follow thru from the borg from being identified here recently?

Mobbie, I know you know my story, but for the sake of the thread I'll answer your question:
When or how is a non-JW spouse considered a "Spiritual Endangerment"?
1) Whenever the elders freaking feel like it.
2) Whenever the JW spouse is entrenched in the "good old boy network" at the hall
3) And especially if the "unbeliever" has a big mouth.

What a difference a word makes!
by ozziepost init's just a little word, nothing special, we use it every day, but how it can change people's thinking!
and how it can be used to "support" a teaching!

Lizzie Bordon Took An Ax
by Xena ini have a friend who is going to boston in a few weeks and will be staying at the lizzie borden bed & breakfast.

i am intrigued by the idea myself and wondered how others would feel about sleeping somewhere a violent murder had been committed.

I used to skip rope to that chant when I was a kid...
Lizzie Borden took and ax, and gave her mother forty whacks.
When she saw what she had done, she gave her father forty-one.

I just have to share this.... Many moons ago, I was a Sunday-school teacher in the Methodist church I attended for a class of 5-8 year olds. It was around this same time of year, and I went around the table and asked all the children to say one thing they were thankful for. Of course, I got all the usual responses... parents, family, health, etc. Then I got to this one little girl who was visiting from out of town, and whose family was very well-to-do, at least by our small-town standards. She very eloquently said, "I'm thankful that we're rich and that I don't have to live in this little place all the time. There is nothing to do here." Okay......

Okay, okay, I know the suspense is killing you all!!! I had a WONDERFUL time! Like I said, my "date" was with an old friend. In fact, we grew up right down the street from one another. He is going through a divorce, too, but we were so happy to be spending time together we didn't lament over our troubles too much.
It was really nice to have a conversation vs. an argument. I didn't realize how much my ex and I had been arguing before he left. But, during dinner it occurred to me that it was actually weird to be talking about work, current events, etc... NORMAL things. I didn't have to hear the word "Jehovah" even once!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I stayed out kind of late. We had dinner and a couple of drinks - they had to kick us out of the bar!
I don't know much about this dating game. I don't want to call him, but I DO want to see him again. I know I'm not ready for a relationship, and I know what people say about being on the rebound. Oh, well, whatever will be will be.
Thanks for your interest, guys. And if I have any juicier details to share later on, I will. Oh, and Stacy Smith, thanks for the advice. The hairy legs thing works every time!!!!!!!
Love you all......Worldlygirl

Eeeew. I feel your pain. I was outside smoking a cigarette last night (sorry, you can't DF me, I'm not a dub!) and I saw a tiny mouse about three inches long run out of the bushes outside my house. I hate freaking mice!!!!! I just about had a heart attack! Now I have been obsessing all day.... I'm sure there is a nest of them!

No, I'm not going out and acting like a "Worldlygirl", it's just drinks and dinner with an old friend. It just so happens that he and his wife split about 8 months ago. I ran into him today and we started talking and, well, we just decided to go out and cry on each others' shoulders. He is a super sweet guy, but don't worry.... I'm not interested in a rebound relationship. But, strangely enough, I am NERVOUS! He should be here in 45 minutes to an hour. It will feel good not to be so lonely on a Friday night!!!
