I Am Changing The Word "Worldly" To Normal....
by minimus ininstead of making the difference known that anyone not a jehovah's witness is "worldly", i think we should simply refer to them as "normal".

The brain-washing works! A letter from a dub friend.
by BLISSISIGNORANCE inthis was sent to me when i stopped attending meetings after the "sunday' show went to air in australia regarding sexual abuse of children in the wt organisation, of which one of my children was victim of.
the bold print is my added comment.. .

and while much of it may have been
true there is no where else to go in this world. This comment always pisses me off. And believe me, I heard it from my husband many, many times. Apparently, these people feel that the Witnesses offer the best "deal". It's like Jehovah is the best used-car-salesman of all possible gods. RRRRRRRRRRRRRrr......

Oh, guys, you just don't know how happy it made me to see this post this morning. I really need the support. Just for an update, if you're interested, I haven't taken any actions so far to cause trouble in his congregation. I'm saving that for later. I did, however, use several of the suggestions you guys offered to "convince" him that he should repay me $7,500.00 for credit card debt he had at the beginning of the relationship and I have now paid off. I got a certified check last Friday - hooray for me!!!
This really sucks. Even after all he has put me through, I hate losing him this way. I remember the person he was when he was "out" and I miss him. I hate the Watchtower so much for taking that away from me.
I had better get to work now, but thanks again to everyone. I plan to stick around here as much as possible... maybe my story can help some other unsuspecting fool from suffering the same fate.
Love to all, Worldlygirl

I need advice quick...and a hug.
by dmouse ini'm in a bit of a state at the moment, my wife has just left me about 30 mins ago and took the kids...i don't know where.... ok, some of you long-timers may remember the problems i had with my son ben, who decided that the jw religion wasn't for him about a year ago.
i supported him as best i could through that and he's developed into a fine young man with a more healthy spiritual attitude, investigationg a number of christian churches in the area and finally settled on church of england, which he really likes now.. although no longer a christian myself i have no objection to them pursuing whatever religious path they choose (obviously within reason).
that has been the case with all of my children: ben, 15, charlotte, 14 and chloe, 12. i have never attempted to stop my wife taking them to the meetings although i have voiced to them privately my concerns about the religion.

(((((((((((((((((Dean)))))))))))))))))))))
I feel for you, Dean. My JW husband left me two weeks ago. Thank goodness we had no children together. Some of these people are just beyond help or rational thinking. Get a good lawyer and protect those precious children!

Falling In Love With Love.
by Englishman ini've often noticed that when 2 people fall in love, they appear to regress back to little babies.
they snuggle up, look into each other's eyes, murmur sweet nothings, why they even call each other "baby"!
plus they go all orally focused just like babies.. so is falling in love a "going back"?

Wordlygirl, anyone who remembers Les Paul & Mary Ford's music and can write it down without error is a woman ready to fall into my waiting arms. Your place or mine?
francois
Ooh, Francois, read some of my recent posts and you'll see that I may need some arms to fall into!! Thanks for the compliment! (And I'm in Savannah on business quite frequently... )

Gender in The New System?
by Wolfy inthe org teaches that in the new order those that have been brought back to life will "neither marry or be given in marriage" the earth will be eventually filled by those that make it through the big a.
(if that's the case there would be alot of sex happening in the new order.
i was looking through the photodrama of creation book the other day and read the page dealing with mother eve created (p.9).

They are alreaady creating their own form of sexlessness. Through rule after rule on sexual practices among married people, and a fierce opposition to any form of sexual expression, I think they are in the "weaning" process with the followers.
And, I might add, my soon-to-be-ex-husband is a JW man with NO BALLS WHATSOEVER. He has already handed them over to the elders.
