once again the witnesses are being pushed out there for new track work, inviting people to the district convention for the summer.. this is the third time in a few months that they go nuts in trying to cover their territory.. another way to try to get the dead witnesses out there and preach.. when will it end?

The push is to get new people to the district convention? Seriously what person is going to want their first dose of a new religion to be an entire day listening to talks? Maybe if you invited them for the drama or something, but really a district convention? Maybe they don't actually want new converts.
On a side note, what happened with the dramas anyway, there's never any ones with costumes anymore. Last couple years they were all modern day examples instead of the bible dramas. What a jip.
my wife was down in the us this past weekend.
she brought back a bunch of goodies like tato skins (yum!).
she also brought back these drink boxes called "yoo-hoo".
because it's awesome. It's basically non-dairy creamer that is chocolate flavor. This is definetly the drink of choice when travelling long distances for shows.

how did you keep your motivation long term?
My key to losing weight is all in the diet really. I did the 6 week body makeover which I can say if you stick to that diet you'll lose alot of weight without having to do the heavy amounts of cardio that you normally would have to in order to lose the weight. I was about 220 and I'm down to 170 now. For my exercise plan I do about a half hour of walking on the tredmill. I try to do a total body work out, if I had the time I'd do it on one day, but since I'm usually in a rush I just do half one day and half the next. I do 2 workouts for each body part, I do Theighs, Upperback, Shoulders, upper and lower abs on the first day of my routine. Then I do Chest, Calves, Triceps, Biceps, upper abs and lower back on Day 2 of my routine. I usually use machines because I never have anyone there to spot me, but I try to do at least one free weight routine everytime I'm there. I moreso go for tone than anything, so I do high reps and low weights. I try to do 4 sets of 15 on everything.

I've had the User name "Tuesday" on most of the boards I post on. I came up with it for Tishie's old support4xjws board. Basically I posted a couple of weeks as my real name Tim, which I was still a witness and about to leave then I finally had the big blow out after a huge ordeal which I wrote about on the board. I stopped going to meetings and the first one I missed was the Tuesday meeting, I just remember that day being so peaceful and relaxing sitting home on my own. So since I was turning a new chapter in life I decided to go by a different name on the board and picked "Tuesday" because it was the best day of my life.
My avatar hasn't changed in a while. It's of the comic "angst boy" which seemed to fit me. Whenever I'm talking about my JW past I'm usually venting, and my last few years as a witness I was similar to the character in the comics. Plus it's a pretty funny comic if you ever dressed gothic.

i am a former jw, but i still believe what they do about the holidays?
i have already talked about origins and all that stuff so i wanted to ask something without bringing up scriptual or historical backgrounds for a change.. my question is (whatever your beliefs may be) what % of people who celebrate christmas, if you took the presents out of christmas would still acknowledge christmas as much as they do now?

I probably wouldn't celebrate, I doubt alot of people would. But there should be some day during the year where people give gifts to each other. One day of the year where nearly everyone is happy to spend time with relatives and be generous in giving gifts. That's my thoughts, it's pagan... yeah so what... alot of stuff has pagan origins which people believe in.

I do notice any sort of picture thread gets alot of posts, and everyone here is really creative so whenever there's a chance to express their creativity it's always pages and pages of stuff.
As for my favorite types of posts, I like reading anyone's expiriences from the org. I like to read about people who are currently witnesses but don't believe any of it anymore simply because I was in that situation for so long. And recently since I'm considering a tattoo (well actually 2 tattoos I want and Alpha symbol on my left shoulder and an Omega symbol on my right shoulder) I've enjoyed reading about those lately.
i'm a "loner", so no one is following me, and i'm not following anyone.. maybe i tend slightly towards being a follower, but it better be worth my time, or i'll be back to a loner once more.

I don't really want people doing what I do or following me doing anything. I suppose that would make me more of a "loner" type. Whenever I am part of a group I usually get comments that I'm really quiet and I'm usually not doing exactly what they're doing anyway.

the dateline show on jws hiding pedophiles was one of several "defining moments" in my process of questioning "the truth".
it disgusted me.
Has there ever even been a case of two witnesses for something like this?
Also if there's a database that is somewhere online of known pedefiles that are still witnesses, that would be extremely helpful I would say if one happened to be in your area or in close proximity.
