  Why won't you respond to the issue of exploitation and abuse of children that is rampant in your cult? The issue has been presented to you several times, in various threads. I can only conclude that your silence is either indicative of a tacit approval of the child abuse and exploitation that is pervasive in your cult or that you simply have no words to defend the undefendable.

  An organization representing itself to the world as "god's organization" ought to be able to pay its bills without exploiting children, and shouldn't encourage its members to abuse their children.

  How can you advocate a cult that has ruined so many lives, and caused so much suffering to innocent children? The WTS has the same value to humanity as a cauldron of vomit.

  Simon attached that advertisement, and he's doing it throughout the site. Apparently, Simon doesn't have the benefit of a "great crowd" of suckers to fleece, so he has to fund this site by accepting advertisements from respectable vendors.

  Watchtower leaders are guilty of complicity in crimes against children, just as much as John Cardinal Law and other high Catholic officials are.

  You Know, over the years, your cult leadership has encouraged the faithful to compel their children to perform marketing services (i.e. going "out in service") on behalf of the WTS without compensation. As a result, the WTS has been enriched by the exploitation of children and owes all children who were victimized by WTS greed a huge moral debt. I've raised this issue to you in another thread, but for some reason, you failed to address it. Is that because you are at a loss for words when it comes to advocating/defending the exploitation of children that is rampant in your cult?

  Similarly, why is it that your cult doesn't provide child care services or other activities for children during the meetings? Meetings are simply too long and too boring to expect kids to be able to sit still and quiet through their duration. The penalty for many kids who can't sit still while being blasted with effluent from the platform is beatings, many of them public (at the kingdom hall). Is it simply that the policy makers in your cult are ignorant of the common needs and attributes of children, or are they just sadistic men who take pleasure in the suffering of children?

  While the JWs make frequent claims that the GB doesn't get paid, the WTS does not disclose its financial details to the public. Therefore, don't be too sure that these folks aren't being compensated. I find it very hard to believe these guys aren't getting paid, and furthermore, I believe the compensation is probably substantial and unwarranted.

  Things I'm looking forward to once I leave

  for the first time in a long time i actually have something to look forward to.

  knowing that i no longer will be under the constraints of a oppresive religion has done a lot for me.

  anger triggers...

  this last week some of my mother's family (my gma, gpa, uncle etc) got in contact with me.

  they are all non borg and have been anti borg for as long as i can remember but for years i treated them like shit because i was "trained to" but now when i talk to them and hear that they are just normal people with normal lives and i feel very guilty for the way i once treated them.

  they dont hold me responsible for any of those actions and always tell me that i am family no matter what.

  I can totally relate to your feelings of anger. Although I was born and raised a JW, I never liked it, and stopped attending meetings at age 14.

  23 years later, I realize that my parents (who are still JWs) were only doing what they thought was right. The organization did a good job of deceiving them and encouraging them to strip us of all the joys of childhood and exploit us like childhood slaves rendering marketing services (i.e. "going out in field service") for the benefit of a corporation. I no longer harbor any resentment towards my parents.

  I harnessed that negative energy you're feeling to achieve personal and professional success. I still feel angry, now and then, but the best revenge is to live good and enjoy life.

  On a side note, when I tell people I used to be a Jehovah's Witness, they tell me that "the saddest thing about the JW kids is that they didn't get to celebrated holidays." I say, "no" it was being alienated from having a real social life.

  Sadder yet is the rampant exploitation of children that is encouraged by the JWs and implemented by parents. The organization avails itself of free child labor by encouraging parents to require their kids to "go out in service." This despicable practice is only one of many inappropriate child-rearing tactics espoused by an organization interested solely in its own continued expansion and financial success, regardless of the human cost.

  A big deficiency of home schooling is in the area of social development. Kids who aren't exposed to other kids their age in a social setting on a regular basis are being deprived of the development of an important skill, the ability to successfully interact socially with their peers. In the case of JWs, development of this skill is further impeded by their isolationist views of outsiders as "worldly" and "bad associations."

  Furthermore, while there are certainly exceptions to the rule, the vast majority of parents are not fit to be teachers.
