Jesika,
Thanks for the uplifting story. I hear so much negative that it's nice to hear some positive things for a change. Merry Christmas!
this was inspired by the story freedom96 posted earlier.
i was in foster care and was placed there right before halloween.
i celebrated my first halloween, and thanksgiving.

yeah?

as our community continues to grow, the jwotw is committed to provide a clean environment for jehovah's witnesses online to associate with one another.
take care because satan is using every means to leave jehovahs organisation! (QUOTE FROM JW WEBSITE PROVIDED BY HOME AND DRY)
This confirms my long-held belief that Satan is a part of the organization that purports to be "Jehovah's organization." It also confirms that they suck so bad that even Satan wants out!
i think that anyone that has been "played" by xw should consier them selfs lucky
Really, does it get any more pathetic than this?
Skeptic, I'm not sure what motivated you to divulge the details of your relationship with XW, which, in my opinion, is pathetic and unworthy of the attention you've sought by posting it here. If your rationale is to seek out female posters who might feel sorry for you, that is even more pathetic than the relationship you described.
i'm sitting here in the serverroom freezing my buns off and the issue of the child abuser and what to do with him or her was being kicked around.
we got the standard shot the bastards in the head etc,.
should they get any treatment at all or should they just be shot?.
Kill them all, and let god sort 'em out!
james coluburn died of a heart attack on monday at the age of 74. i wasn't a big fan of his but i'm sure he was a good actor.
i know it wasn't one of his greatest roles but i did like his character in the movie 'snow dogs'.
merlin santana.
Does this qualify as the stupidest argument on jw.com?
i have heard much about crooked watchtower lawyers on this site and wondered if anyone had anything to back this up?
i have my own experience (extremely bad) and was wondering about others.
Monster: Thanks for your response and your statements regarding generalizations about JWs. The point I was trying to make is that like JWs, attorneys are just people and it is unfair to negatively stereotype or make sweeping generalizations about any group of people based solely on the misconduct of a few.
Having said that, congratulations on your volunteer efforts. It is the efforts of volunteers like yourself that really make a difference in the lives of others!

Monster,
Many lawyers volunteer some of their time for various charitable causes as well, including free legal representation for the indigent. But like you, the vast majority do not volunteer all of their time; they need to make a living. You've spewed venom regarding lawyers working solely for the money yet you've revealed that you own your own business. Until you start devoting 100% of your business proceeds to charitable causes you have no basis for condemning others for expecting compensation for their work.
As for your experiences regarding the integrity of lawyers, attorneys are like anyone else. Birds of a feather . . .

Francois and others here have made a generalization about the honesty of lawyers and JWs, yet there is no empirical basis for their claims. Is their hatred for lawyers attributable to incidents in their own lives where they've failed to exercise proper judgment and gotten burnt as a result?
Francois, it's obvious you have a lot of pain likely resulting from your exposure to the Witnesses. However, that doesn't excuse the unprovoked, hostile personal attack you made against Downunder. We've all experienced a lot of hell as a result of our past and present JW associations - some worse than others. That shouldn't influence the manner in which you treat others.
Monster, you seem upset that lawyers are "in it for the money." I wonder what you work for? Do you volunteer all of your time, or do you expect to be paid for working? If you aren't a full-time volunteer, then isn't it a bit hypocritical for you to gripe that lawyers get paid for their work?
i would have to say my favorite moment is when bart goes to the comic book store and has this conversation with comic book guy:.
(bart lays $8 on the table).
bart: "can i have this comic book here?".
OK, here's a link to my favorite Simpson's moment: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/media/Simpsons_JW.wav
Excellent!

well my favorite simpsons saying are:.
homer: "d-oh" and "woo-hoo".
bart: "aye, caramba".
If someone can show me how to embed an mp3 file here, I can provide an audio excerpt from a Simpson's episode that is very relevant and on point for this board. Simon - don't worry, it falls within the "fair use" exception to the U.S. copyright laws.
