  Who Is God?

  i have recently been studying some of the theology of the baptists and comparing it to that of the watchtower and i have learned some very interesting things.

  by the way, i am new to this forum and i am not sure if it usually discusses topics such as this, but i will be interested to read everyone's responses.

  The jw's attempt at explaining that scripture is by saying jehovah is our "Grandfather" and jesus is our "father".

  Not sure what publication that was in, I believe the "prince of peace" publication. Anyway sounds pretty lame to me.

  Is the Bible Just B.S.?

  do you think that god enjoys killing people?

  it sure sounds like it to me; jw doctrine more or less scared me into thinking that god is going to kill all persons whom he/she thinks is not doing his will.

  my question is, how can god kill someone for not being "christian", or following the bible out of sheer ignorance?

  The Bible is nothing more than the ideas and thoughts of many men.

  If God Almighty really wanted to get his message across there is a much more effective manner of doing this then writing a book that can be and has been interpreted a million different ways. Then on top of this allow countless religions control and manipulate people all based on this "masterpiece" by God himself.

  In reality, the Bible has done billions of more damage than it has done good. God has failed miserably in is quest to educate people about his ways.

  we had our convetions at a small hockey arena and the stairs were really steep.

  i'm not sure about mine, but for a while i was wanting to buy the "video nag".

  it was a $10 vhs tape, featuring 23 minutes of some ugly hag continually bitching.. btw, this is a recycled post.

  i'm a new person here and i have a question about a family member.

  hopefully, you can help and i will appreciate any and all answers.

  if a man marries a jw gal and the jw gal cannot get her husband to convert (he has no interest in joining, but supports her beliefs), will the jw gal be "looked down upon" by her kh?

  Unfortunatley for him, he will always be treated by her friends as a project.

  He will forever ( until conversion ) be known to others in her "group" as the unbelieving husband

  He will always be talked about within her circles as " hopefully one day he will be in the truth"

  Yes, as long as she is a jw, there will be a gap between them that will never close unless he converts or she leaves. Unfortunatley this is the way it works within this religion.
