What is the mood in the Kingdom Halls nowadays?
by JH inwhen i used to go the meetings in the late 80's, the mood was good, knowing that the end was close.
later on in the 90's while i still attended once in a while, people were starting to be less zealous and were starting to put their needs before those of the kingdoms.
people started to buy houses, instead of living in apartements, they were buying nicer cars, taking vacations far away, and mostly, the women started to work, to help pay for the better life style they were living.

by micheal inhavn't heard anything from them in a year.
out of the blue i have recieved two phone calls in the last week.
of course having caller id i never answerd.

Dating and being chapperoned

i have always thought that its stupid and its trying to pry into peoples lives.

After my Dad (an avid JW hater, God love 'im) died, my Mum started dating a nice old brother. Mum was 67 and he was 73. They went on a "date" and had to have a chaperone! The chaperone was like 63 or something.
That is just wrong!

was there any particular event, teaching, experience where it all came together for you when you really questioned the "truth", or believed it wasn't it couldn't be god's organization?.

I really hope the decision you made was to wait.. don't do it too young.. and when you do, make it with someone you care about.. not just a one night stand. Like was mentioned earlier, I hope it is when you are of 'legal age'..
