just found this thread, i had doubts on this issue for many years, i just can not understand why a loving God killed those kids just because they had been silly or stupid at that time, he could have lifted Elisha out of trouble and a free ride to where he was going....no jw can explain that to me.
so i used to think that all witnesses believed the same exact thing but i have heard some claims that they believe things i'm not familiar with.

it is amazing to see jehovah's witness are united in confusion, confused but still united, no doubts what so ever. if the GB actually don't know whats gonna happen in the future or explain the Bible prophecies, then stop doing that, you dont find new explanations to cover the old ones just because you need to continue going on the wrong path. its so obvious that the "new lights" are becoming even more rediculous. The GB is treating their followers as fool.
i remember that the watchtower teaching about human history was about 6000 years, but it seems loosen up a little bit, i am not very sure where, a public talk or another speech, but i definitely heard human history over 10,000 years at least, anyone any thoughts?.

Hi Entertainment123, dont feel frustrated. It is good that you voice your true believes, I think many people just feel so disappointed and angry by whats happening around them in the world now, and point their fingers at you, thats alright. I also think that if God is indeed impartial then maybe he wont help this person and ignore the other one, actually I dont know the answer myself.
i was wondering if there was anywhere someone could point to in the bible for the watchtower belief that the great crowd is not included in the new covenant.
i know that this is their line of thinking when it comes to jesus being mediator.
they say that jesus is only mediator of the new covenant and since the gc is not under the new covenant, jesus is not specifically a mediator to them.
It is hard to believe that the old covenant was for all gods people and the new one is not.
last night we were discussing the "new light" that was revealed to the gb recently from jehovah.
many of us recall all the co talks and elder parts based on the bible text of how a true servant of jah would not be "inactive or irregular" for years one was required to have at least one hour to be considered a servant of jah.. as the sec in my hall i recall so many times calling up friends to get thier time and hearing them break crying cause they didn't have 60min only about 45min- and they knew that it meant they were not servants of jah.
now with the new light from jw a person with only 14 minutes of time will now be disqualified as being a servant of jah.. it is amazing how many jw will view this arrangement as a "loving provision from jah" instead of realizing that thier service to thier god has been reduced to whether they get 15min or 14 min.

so when you see a JW fighting against what you are trying to tell them just understand you are about to take away everything they have in thier life- that is why for many of us who have left we go thru periods of depression, anger , frustration and so forth

it seems to me that when ever there is a disaster happened, nothing will be brought up in the meetings, or inside the congragations.
nothing matters, you dont need to pray for those people who are desperate now, just focus on study articles, meetings, and field services.
if you want to pray, pray for brothers sisters around the world who are under adverse circumstances, then thats it.

As long as you come to the meetings, make comments, doing the field services, you will be fine, Jehovah will reward you everlasting life. Preaching is the biggest charity, no other forms are needed. I am really puzzled.
