  Does Anyone Know Any of the Newer GB Members? Please share your stories.

  i have read some threads here that suggest that anyone thinking big changes are coming to the watchtower due to all of the new gb appointments is fooling themselves.

  its been said that ted jaracz has been heavily involved in selecting new gb members and wants to ensure that they all share his hard-line vision for the religion.

  i must admit that i thought there would be big changes by now since six of the nine gb members were appointed within the last eight years.

  I know Brother Herd. He was our CO several years back. Really nice guy. Too nice to be on the GB. He may very well be that lower 1/3% of the vote that Crisis of Conscience always speaks of.

  I will never forget during one of his talks a the Special Day he mentioned how brothers should help their wives with the cleaning. He said it was easy to do simple things to make her life easier such as wiping down the shower after you get out. People do that??? Anyways I gave my hubby a good look to make sure he heard that. Not that it worked.

  recently, i was reacquainted with a friend that i knew since i started grade school.

  he grew up in the world wide church of god and i as a witness.

  neither of us did christmas so often we would find ourselves in the library while the rest of the school did christmas activities.. .

  for those of you who watch big love, near the end of the episode margene was having a conversation with bill, after he found out she was friends with ana (his new interest).

  they were in a discussion about testimony and holy spirit and bill asked her if the holy spirit spoke to her about ana and she asked "how would you know?

  i was thinking earlier of how the recent mega-million dollar catholic settlement in la is an ideal opportunity, in letters to the editor in local newspapers, to highlight the hypocrisy of the witnesses in how they have handled similar abuse cases.

  a couple of points that might be useful to make this applicable anywhere: .

  1. in the kingdom news #37 tract distributed around the country last fall.

  It's bad enough the Society doesn't quote references ......

  but on page 43 of the 1991 "flock book", here's how the society encourages those who give public talks to "regularly work toward improving their teaching ability" .... 1. do thorough research in the society's publications to bring the material to life.
