my dub mother sent me a package today, inside was a nwt bible, a picture of me around age 5 at an assembly - i looked miserable and my dad was holding a battery operated fan in front of me, and a letter, here is the letter.
i ask that you remember that i was 18 when i left and i'm now 42, that there is a total of 8 children in my family and there are only 2 that are still jw's, oh and that my mother is a complete nutcase!

i'm getting depressed lately realizing my life is fast comming to an end.

In your pic it looks like you have a grandkid. Spend your time with them, leaving as much of your influence behind as possible. Hey you may have another 20 years!!

if according to gen 3:15 and the prophecy thats supposed to mean satan was going to kill jesus (brusing in the heel) and then jesus is going to destroy satan (bruising in the head) that would mean satan would know at an early stage what his life would entail right?.
if i was satan (i'm not by the way) i might have 'looked' at this and other prophecies and decided i'm not going to help fulfill them.
Yeah, there isn't a whole lot of reasoning there. They don't look at the big picture, just swallow what they are given.

well twenty days ago, my wife decided to check things out and start reading and posting here.
i thought i'd give a bit of an update on how things are going because she's still quite reluctant to create a new topic herself.
she has been reading alot of older posts on the forums and getting caught up, that has led to a few topics or comments by me that she's questioned me on.
That is wonderful to hear!!! I hope she enjoys the book.
i had to tell someone, surprisingly not one of my witness family were interested even though i am not dad or dfd.. i went for and got a promotion at work today, i worked hard at my interview and am delighted with my new position.
the only people that cared were my boyfriend and two very close friends i have made since leaving the org.
it leaves me tinged with sadness, but those are the breaks!.

ok, so i thought it was good but not quite as good as the other episodes.
last night seemed a little slow like a filler episode or something.

I really want to strangle Rhonda. When she said if you say anything I will tell Sarah you want to kiss her. I told my hubby, I would have grabbed her (Rhonda) and kissed her on the lips and said "so what" and started laughing to myself. Remeber she saw the mother and daughter talking and pointing at her. I hope that goes somewhere. That the daughter found a way to expose Rhonda.
i very rarely lie, but i took off work for personal reasons, and that was not a good enough explanation so i told an acceptable lie which no one really gives a rats ass or not.. there was a time when the telling the truth about eveything was important to me.
i thought it made a difference.
sometimes i suffered for telling the truth.
I did that too for the first time ever. I called in sick, mainly because I was tired and just wanted to sleep really bad. I called it a mental health day but I felt like an ass for lying to my coworkers. I knew I had nothing pressing that day as well which helped. I think everyone does it once in a while. When you aren't given personal days, just sick or vacation, sometimes you just have to do something unscheduled and are forced to use a sick day.
so here's the story.
my brother invited me over to his place, just to hang out, watch movies, etc.
he was supposed to work until 4, so i should come by anytime after that.
Is she overreacting? After the similar experience I would say no. However, I wouldn't have made you hide. If they said it was in appropriate I would have responded, well her husband, my brother doesn't think so. He told me to be here at 4:30 and he is running a little late. If you have an issue with me waiting for my brother then that is your problem, time and unforseen occurences befall us all. Then again, she may not be one for confrontation.
I am just curious as to what your brother said when he came home and found out you were forced to hide in the bathroom.
last night, a small group ( about 8 ) of teenagers gathered to go watch the meteor showers.
a young man, known to all, drove up, asking what was going on.
they told him they were talking about where was the best place to go watch.
Don't beat yourself up to bad. We have friends come over and drink every Saturday. They all know they are more than welcome to stay and it is suggested that they stay if they have been drinking. Most times there is no problem. However a few times there have been those who try to drive. I have wrestled a few of the guys to get their keys. A few times I have lost. They drove home. At that time, I crossed my fingers and prayed for their safe arrival. Usually the next day I get a phone call, "Sorry, I should have given you my keys last night, I dont' know what came over me. I will never do that again." And they don't. All it takes is one night of not remembering how you got home to scare you straight. If you call the parents, what can they do, even they will have to wait for the kid to arrive home. If you call the cops there is no guarantee they will find the car. But everyone should try and stop someone, even physically, to keep them from Drunk Driving. I would tell the daughter and all of their friends that with 8 on 1 they could have gotten the keys and next time such a thing occurs they need to band together and do their best to stop the guy. Assuming the person is known to NOT carry guns.
