((((((((((HUGS))))))))) I have experienced similar, you are not alone. Leaving especially with loved ones still in is a long arduous journey. Hang in there. Just think of all the things your child will be able to experience without the restrictions of being a JW.

One of those days
by Younglove1999 inyou know, when the haunting trauma of being out of the organization rears it's ugly head- .
my husband and i have been out for almost 9 months now and i still struggle with so many emotions.
some days/weeks i'm fine and other times i just have so much bottled up, i feel like exploding.

i had been asked before, and always said "no thanks," but this time, i had some cash on me (which is a rare thing), so i decided i might as well try it.
so there you have it, i gambled.

I registered unaffiliated and I can vote for whomever I choose: Democratic, Republican, Independent, Libertarian.
You only have to register once and you will get a card in the mail telling you where your voting place is. Don't forget it, you can only vote at your given poll.

Although the problems throws up a red flag, I wanna know what precipitated this change of heart. Any ideas? KM part maybe?

As an elders only child/daughter, there was a whole lot expected of me. Auxilliary pioneer at every occasion, get baptized before 15 (that was the age when people started wondering what was wrong with you if you didn't), I was expected to give parts with answers about my future that could only involve pioneering or perhaps marrying a bethel brother , I was always told I was an example to all of the young ones so an inordinate amount of pressure was put one me and I fulfilled them all. Until about 20. Then the rebellion started.
My advice. Dont' get baptized until you are an adult. Jesus waited until 30, there should be no pressure to get baptized any younger.
Best wishes to you.

Just Rambling about things I gone through lately....could use advise....
by Retharen inwell to say the least i have not been much of a jw lately......young person just having trouble on the road of life...i drifted away from jah and started moving toward witch craft.....not the best decision of my life to say the least but i am trying to come back.
i have not really ever been good with getting to the meetings having school homework friends and just my plain laziness but it seems to have gotten worse lately.my mom seems to have the impression that it is a good idea to try and force me to be a jw... i know it is right and all but i can't really do things when i am being forced...i just with things could be simpler.
i am open for advise and all of that...i could really use it...

Hello and welcome to the board. You are obviously young and even though I am 30 there was tons about JW's I never knew because I was too young. Like the fact they thought vaccinations were bad until 1940!!! Think of all the people that needlessly suffered due to following their ignorant council: http://www.religioustolerance.org/witness6.htm
Also you will be suprised to find out that the date 1914 was originally when the END was supposed to come. http://www.bible.ca/Jw-Prophecy.htm
I suggest you study where your religion came from before jumping wholeheartedly back into it and DON'T get baptized until you are SURE it is what you want and you are old enough to be out of hte house and on your own. We ask all other religions in the door to door work to examine their religous past, especially Catholics with the crusades and all, but we never really study ours. Dont you deserve to make an informed opinion?
Best wishes to you in figuring all this out. I agree with the others, stick to school, go to college, get a good job, move out, then decide on religion.

The Watchtower has trained us well.....to be vocal apostate's!
by megsmomma ini was thinking about how "against" the watchtower so many are.
we are outspoken about it and want people we love to get out too.
we are very vocal about it...more so than a-lot of people are when they leave a religion.
