is anyone sensing an increasingly sanctimonious arrogance in j-dubs recently?
im asking this as i am finding that with the two major news stories in the last few weeks (ie.
I have to think of a few counter-arguements to bring them down when they start spouting their usual jive to me.

How about the most obvious counter-argument.......the Watchtower has been wrong about every single one of their prophecies & speculations for the last 140 years!
i've been browsing the site for some time as things that the society teach just are not adding up much these days.
by exploring some of the threads on here i'm starting to see why.

Hi Purr.....welcome to JWN. The fact you are here shows you know something is seriously wrong with the JW religion and you are now waking up. I was a true-blue elder but walked out with my family in 1995 and never attended a JW meeting again. I just finally concluded this dysfunctional religion could no way be the truth and itwould just be wasting my families lives to be a part of it any longer.
Now my sincere belief is.....it's a family destroying cult.
the lds church (mormons) have pulled 274 missionaries out of the ebola affected areas of africa and sent them to other lands.. does the wt care enough about its sales reps to do the same ?

The Watchtower won't do like the Mormons and stop the d2d crap, because the Mormon religion leaders are smarter than the Watchtower religion leaders. The Watchtower religion actually believes their doomsday cult bullshit. They will believe the ones who die from field service are martyrs, and the people they spread ebola to who die will get a resurrection. It's that simple and that cold hearted in Jehovahstan.

Hello Tiff......welcome to JWN, but sorry to hear of your breakup. A BF who would do this is a weasel. Count yourself lucky to find out now. After living together do you really think he all of a sudden "got holy" or "is having a guilty conscience" after attending a JW convention? I'm not trying to be mean, but the weasel probably spotted some new squirrel at the convention. The having a relationship with you is wrong, but the sex part is okay? JW's can reason to treat "worldly people" anyway they want because in a JW's mind they are better than "worldly people", because all "worldly people" are going to be destroyed anyway because they are not JW's.
Again....count yourself lucky to find out now, move on, and have nothing to do with the weasel. I'd even tell his parents about the lying bastard's double life.

OMFG!!! Are you f'n kidding me?!?! What the hell is going on in this religion? Not only have they gone bat-shit crazy, but the JW religion as also gone apostate. This new GB led religion of JW's is the old apostate kingdom of Israel. The calls from the women in the audience was like women watching male strippers. I couldn't watch it all, and am actually feeling sick from watching what I did. Believe me.....I am not a fuddy-duddy, but this is just most shocking to me when you consider how strict and holy things were considered up until I left in 1995. Many people went through a whole lot of BS over very minor entertainment issues in this cult. Good that they are "footloosing" things up some, but something like this does not belong in the KH.
5 guys dressed like cowboys dancing to Footloose inside the KH on the platform with the women in the audience giving cat calls? I have seen everthing now. Allowing fun or no fun......to me it's just another example of the Watchtower flip-flopping on beliefs. No matter how you dress it.....it's a cult.
a sweet old sister recently passed away.
that moved me to write part 1 of " the end did not come..." so here is the latest.
sister x goes to the hospital for her issues.
Sister X awakens from her drug induced state, she is frightened. She asks, " Where am I? What happened? Did I die? Am I in the paradise?" A comforter says, " Yes. You did. You are in paradise now." Slowly, Sister X realizes what is happening and where she is. Hysterically, she cries out, " No! I am not in the paradise! I have not died! I am dying!" Hours later, she was gone.

What a demented joke to tell a dying person who wakes from a drug induced state they died and they are in paradise now......then even more demented is to try to make them think paradise is a room full of Jehovah's Witnesses. That's just wrong!

Well...two more long time faithful JWS have gone the way of the Dodo. They waited on Jeehoober to start their "real life" for them. I guess they aren't part of the "millions" class.....

Using Watchtower new light logic it stands to reason.......if the anointed are now an "over-lapping generation" TM, the "millions who will never die" are an over-lapping group also. They "didn't really die", because they live on through their children, and they are alive in Jehovah's memory. The Watchtower could spin this nonsense any way they wanted.

That's what I saw yesterday. Two different sets of JW idiots standing at a corner with their trolley carts holding up a tract with a stupid smile on their face. No one was even walking by them. It was a time counting joke. What a sham the Jehovah Witness religion is. It wouldn't be so bad except this religion causes people's death and destroys families & people's lives.
if you actively do fs on a trolley i would love you to answer this question.
if you don't but know publishers that do can you ask them please.. are you told not to approach anyone unless they approach you as part of your trolley training?.

Student organizations should set up right next to Jehovah's Witnesses at Universities and make their time there uncomfortable. This cult is constantly demeaning higher education as part of Satan's system, and the JW presence there should be seen as discouraging people from attending University. Any students that they could recruit into the cult would be encouraged to drop out of college and pioneer.
i just wanted to share the good news that wednesday was the last day of my summer teaching internship.
i had a great time with the kids-- they were ready to learn, be challenged and have fun.
and this was summer school!
Awesome......nice thing to read this morning. Now go and make a difference in people's lives.
