I disagree. I thought it was a non-story also, until I seen the layout of the land and where the JW's decided to built their community cult training center. I'm not even going to comment on any agreement made between any JW's and the family, because I think the JW's lie through their teeth to "worldly people". The main point is only a complete asshole who has absolutely no regard for others would place a building right where these JW's placed their's when the land gave them so many other options that would have looked nicer and kept everyone's property value & enjoyment of life. I absolutely hate this disgusting cult. You look at this religion from any angle and storyline and it is absolutely disgusting.

P.S....And I'm a former elder of this disgusting cult, and that fact I am terribly ashamed of.

The placement of that KH right in front of the disabled man's window is the epitomy of the JW attitude & mindset. "We are the true religion and better than you worldly people and we have no regard for you because you will soon be destroyed". Absolutely disgusting the selfishness showed here. So many other possibliies of where to place that KH that would have looked better and saved the man's view. This is pitful.

Thanks Newly Enlightened for your coverage of this and posting this picture that tells the true story. At first I thought it was a simple land owner has the right to build on the property despite the objections of blocking a neighbor's view issue. This is clearly not the case. The JW's had plenty of room to build in such a way as to get their needs out of the property and not devalue the neighbor's property. The scumbags ruined that man's property.

Question for any believing JW lurkers out there. Why would Jehovah's "holy spirit" lead the Organization to develop the awe-inspiring JW.Org logo for trademark approval and not even have the foresight to see the TM Office would disprove it? LOL

Answer: Because there is no Jehovah's holy spirit guiding this man-made, man-lead, group of ever-changing bat-shit crazy beliefs believing, family destroying cultists.

i'm off work today and its a monday morning.

a male and female jw just knocked on my door, i opened it, the guy just handed me their latest website promoting tract saying "hi, were just leaving these with people today", and then he made to leave.

i looked at the tract and then looked at him as he was turning to walk away and said to him "ok, thanks, but ummm you could've just left it in my letterbox.".

Flashback to 1994. I am still a true-blue elder, but I am starting to see some things about the dysfuction in the JW religion that is making me doubt that God would pick this religion to be the one true religion. All fun has been taken out of the religion in the name of "no large gatherings". No more Congregation gatherings, no more organizing sport games to play, etc. If people have any fun at all, it's in small groups and you keep it quiet, because someone will no doubt get offended by what you did.

Flashforward back to 2014. Out of all the changes in beliefs & practices of JW's in the last 20 years, the thing that would have shocked me seeing the most would be if someone told me back then......in 20 years from now you will see a video avaiable for the whole world to see of 5 JW brothers dressed in country&western clothes on the KH stage doing a line dance to Footloose with sisters in the audience hollering like they are at a male stripper show.

I agree with ADCMS.....we probably haven't seen nothing yet. GB 2.0 is probably just getting warmed up!

My mother listed me as a Jehovah's Witness at the Hospital for a pending emergency surgery

i've been having some medical issues recently and had to check into the emgerceny hospital.

when they admitted me the registar asked my mother my religion.

she told them jehovah's witness.

I agree with those who say you need to get this straightened out with the Hospital to delete from your records any mention of you being a Jehovah Witness. You also need to get the matter straight with your Mother that you know all about JW's accepting blood fractions and taking blood being a conscience matter, and that you & your wife will decide on whatever future medicial treatment you wish to pursue. If you don't make it clear to her, if by chance you ever have another medical issue......it will turn into an embarrassing three ring circus with your Mother & her Elders butting in to try to influence the Hospital on what your beliefs on blood transfusions are.
