Nice post....but, way too long to have any effect on a JW. Their cult shield will kick in and dismiss most of what you wrote. Gotta keep it short and hit them hard.

There was something strange about Rutherford or Russells hands and feet were placed. It had something to do with Freemason signs. Not too sure but east and west with hands facing upwards! Something like that. Or standing straight up. Pointing up! I do not remember but it fit Freemasons or Illumantii.

They still believe the trumpets in Revelation are conventions in the 1920s. I had trouble with that one even when I was a fully committed believer.

Thanks. I figured they still believed in this, only they probably keep it very quiet. Almost 100 years since these conventions. If this was true it would render the 7 trumpets of Revelation as complete nonsense to be fulfilled starting back then, then for the 7 trumpet messages to not even be considered the truth now. The JW religion has really gotten to be bizzare.

For any active JW's out there......just listen to the clip of Fred Franz. He is an absolute loon and everything he talks about is "old light" nonsense. They use to believe the Giza Pyramid was biblical, conventions were fulfillment of Revelation trumpets, millions now living will never die, etc. He called it facts of theocratic history. LOL It was absolute BS that means nothing now and is completely different from the modern-day Jehovah witness cult.

Had an argument with my wife about tinkerbell :(
by BU2B inone of my co workers mother made my 4 year old a blanket with the disney character tinkerbell on it.
as soon as i got it i knew trouble lay ahead.
i wanted to reason with her before my daughter saw it so as not to cause a disruption, but it didn't work out that way.

I just find it hard to believe that the biological act of a human male & female getting together for sex and producing a baby gives that person a live force that lives forever after their biological death. It is what it is, so make the best out of your life. Love your family and show love to others.

Why are some of you guys calling this new arrangement tithing?
by neverendingjourney inat the risk of being shouted down, i thought i'd point out that "tithing" means giving 10 percent of your income to a church.
it comes from the old english word teogotha meaning tenth.
i've seen nothing that establishes tithing in the watchtower.. while i'm all in favor of pointing out the watchtower's lies, hypocrisies and faults, the language we use matters.

I think most people here understand & know it's not an actual tithe. It's just it's so against everything the Watchtower use to stand for,and all the downing they did of churches, that it's easy to call this new arrangement a tithe.
