took one of my cats to the vet two weeks ago, she gets dermatitis from flea bites and although she gats flea treatment every four weeks the skin problem flares up about every two years.
so i asked for her usual steroid tablets which clear it up in about a week but no this young vet about 25 thought she should have a steroid injection and an antibiotic.
didn't work and she's much worse.. went back today and another vet said can't give you the tablets because the injection is still in her system and lasts 6 weeks.
I've seen some cold-hearted ones, too. Some years ago, I saw a vet lance a rabbit's foot with no anesthetic. The poor rabbit screamed. I didn't know rabbits could make such a noise.
That is just mean making a rabbit scream. So much for the lucky rabbit's foot superstition. LOL

I just love the comments on this picture of Gerritt Losch taken with 2 "sisters". Love the first comment about how his rings are so stylish and then the comments stating how inappropriate it is to post this picture (because the gb have asked not to be posted to any social media) and requesting this picture be taken down.

What is with these GB 2.0 members and their rings? I checked this photo out. I counted at least 3 rings on Losch with possibly a pinky ring on his right hand. To me it just looked cheesy for an older guy. The JW religion I remember would have counseled someone to not look so showy, worldly or possibly be stumbling to anyone. I doubt a person wearing that many rings would even get appointed elder, much less chosen by God as Christ's brother and one to govern his people on earth. LOL

Poor kitty. Hope your cat gets better. Sounds like those vets are not very detailed and naybe some incompetence.
Other day I went to the Pharmacy to have a perscription filled. Handed my perscription card to the young guy behind the counter. He checked with the Pharmaicist and said it will be 10-15 minutes. I ask for my card back and he said they will hold it. I come back 15 minutes later and they lost my card. The Pharmacist saud the young guy gave it to her but now they can't find it. Of course I question them on how can they lose a card, because there are only so many places it could be behind the counter. Well...after 20 minutes and finding nothing I get an apology, and had to go through the pain-in-the-ass process to get a new card.
I concluded same situation as your vets. People not detailed or focus, and maybe some incompetence.
okay, tonight someone told me that one of the elders actually addressed the child sex abuse cases at the weeknight meeting this past week.
she said the speaker said that accusations are being made against the truth but that they should stand firm in the truth and that they are going to continue fighting these allegations and that all should stand firm for jehovah or some similar comments.... did anyone else hear this from the stage?.

My guess whould be that this is an isolated case when the pedophile scandal has become a hot topic in that locale, and the elder is trying to quelch the gossip. The pedophile scandal is the big elephant in the room that JW's ignore unless they absolutely have to address it.

What is wrong with this statement? Enforcing a public business to not discriminate against same sex couples, and not forcing private denomination Pastors to marry same sex couples against their conscience? I'm thinking DJS is stating the same thing.

Yes....I think the story was determined to be mainly about a couple of for profit wedding chapel ministers maybe refusing to marry a same sex couple. Of course, a public business cannot discriminate based on race, religion, sex, sexuality, etc. I think it them morphed into a discussion where someone named MASH keep bashing me for not agreeing that Pastors should be forced to marry gay people. It turned quite ugly, even to the point that my using the expression "gay people" was some kind of admittance to homophobia. I actually support ""gay people" having their rights, but I must admit there is a lot of hostility even towards people who are supportive. That will not be good for the gay rights cause going forward.

Sounds like you have alot of hate also. Yesterday, I tried supporting both the gay rights, and not forcing Christian Pastors to marry same sex couples if their conscience was against it, and immediately had to put up with insults and name calling from some dumbass named MASH.
