  If we can't get rid of a mere 8 guys in Brooklyn who have killed tens of thousands of people over the course of their religion in the name of God, how are we going to get rid of the entire Christian movement in the WHOLE DAMN WORLD?   This is just ridiculous.

  A new world order? What, us humans? We can't even be trusted to live, let alone try to live TOGETHER!

  People are saying Sept. 11 was the end of the world. People said that when they bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki too, but nobody blames Americans for it today, do they? And look where we are now! The Americans are innocent, but the moment a supposed bunch of Islamic dudes fly planes into buildings and kill about 4K people, the world is going to end. Talk about Islamic dudes getting the short end of the stick!

  Remember - you have the two major faiths of today (I might be wrong) - Christianity and Islam. These very people who are supposed to be abolishing religion are often VERY religious themselves. Even that naughty Bush guy is a devout Christian.

  UGH.

  It's a painful experience to read these posts. My sojourn at PLN ended after thread number 3 that was just the SAME BS over and over again. Most of those people probably have the WT CDROM's viewer open in the next window and are just cutting and pasting randomly. Why they do it is a mystery to me.

  These are the writings of people who's mental output is filtered or even wholly controlled by the WTBTS meme, and there is very little they can do about it.

  As I said to a Dub once: "Your mind is it's own beautiful prisoner."

  This phrase has several meanings for the average Dub, but perhaps the strongest is the fact that they will, for the most part, never be able to leave the cage inside their skull that they, or others, have forcibly created for themselves. It's just not possible for some Dubs to consider alternative points of view to the WTBTS's force-fed doctrines, primarily because those bits of their mind have atrophied away. If you don't use your legs for 20 years, you sure as hell are not gonna be running a marathon tomorrow.

  1975 End of World!!

  does anyone have any personal experiences as to the effects that the 1975 end of the world announcement had on them??.

  for starters..i was a 7 years old little girl in 1972 when they were starting to announce it...i remember my dad buying 5 foot long cheese (we are italian)...about 100 salami's...because they said we would first suffer with the starvation and all that and needed to be prepared for it.....also i remember every thunderstorm my mom would run to the window and yell..."maybe this is it..maybe this is the end of the world starting!!

  MavMan: The sad thing here is that I'm dignifying your post with a response! If 1975 was a test from Satan, then why did the GOVERNING BODY make sure everyone was getting ready for 1975? According to that logic, the entire GB must be under the control of Satan.   one of the most interesting thing that seems to happen to a loyal jw who comes onto a site like this is that by default they become hypocrites.. now for many of us we were at least willing to "concede" that we were hypocrites for being here, but then you go those "others" who just can't admit it about themselves>.

  i thought this post by yoyo mama is very interesting as he resoundly dogs a person, yet this poster does the very thing that he condemns.
