  Has any Witness prophesies ever came true ?

  surely some of the prophesies came true, my old mom tells me that they all have bless her heart she is 84 and its all she knows.

  but i guess if you line up all of them the ones that did not far out number the ones that did.

  what do you say to someone who says god directed the witness's in bible prophesies?

  War of Words

  ive decided not to have a war of words.

  (im sure that i was part of the problem) because of stress in my own life (the death of my dad, working, studying, raising a 17 yr old, dealing with my mother, etc), i sometimes overlook key words in some peoples posts.

  after reading a number of responses to a topic, i sometimes get side tracked.

  do you mostly eat healthy?

  survive mostly on junk foods and fast foods?

  i waffle back 'n forth, myself.....graze for a while....then get into "cooking for la famiglia" mode, ruin my digestive system....and segue into junk!!!

  I used to eat a lot of junk food, but when I had to start cooking for myself I realised that if I had my way I'd only ever eat junk food so decided to cut as much of it out my diet as I could. So far so good.

  thousand of witnesses do it every year and for what they believe are good reasons.

  i did it because i was pressured by elders.

  its interesting to note how elders can target young people into committing their life to something they really know nothing about.

  Yes, I only done it because I needed it to be socially acceptable.

  How do you feel about breaking your vow to serve god faithfully for the rest of your life?

  I don't believe in god anymore, so I can't break a promise I made to someone who doesn't exist.

  coz regardless of the ups and downs, this place is a little like the family i lost.... sometimes i need to take a step back, have a break and some quiet time, but that's ok, too.. every blessing to everyone,.

  people who've been reading my posts will know i've been trying to get reinstated so i can get back together with my girlfriend/fiance.

  the more time goes on, the less i feel able to do that.

  all the things i hear from the platform, and the things that elders have said to me just reinforce the fact that i want nothing at all to do with this organisation anymore.

  I've just bought a house 2 weeks ago so this would cause a lot of problems financially until I got started up on my own.

  Because of my other job I wouldn't lose the house or anything, just be so skint for a long time. I'd be able to build the business back up on my own but would take a long time. And I just discovered why the wine was so cheap in the shop.....

  i think this is a question worth considering - just how extreme will witnesses become?.

  first, the hierarchy: there are numerous accounts stretching back for years of gb members skipping meetings,.

  ignoring field service and treating "vital" doctrine in a cavalier fashion.

  I can't see them going out on mass shooting rampages, but I can certainly see them taking some kind of action against "apostates" if the right "direction" came out of New York.

  At first I thought you said "taking some sort of action against apostates, like in Gangs of New York"!!!! On a serious note, I know people who used to go out of their way to do things if they spotted someone who was df'd.
