Who is to say that a so-called 'Universal Mind' would have ANY resemblance to our 'human' minds? There might be entire galactic super-evolved species based on an insect or reptilian mind. Totally unlike our mammalian minds. So IF there is a super-Mind that created or controls the Universe ( or Multiverse ) it may not in any way be the type of entity we can relate to. It could possibly be an unimaginably intelligent computer and maybe we exist within a vast simulated Universe it created. To think that 'our' God is somehow just like us, with similar emotions and motivations, is the height of ethnocentrism. I personally think there is far more to life and the Universe than we currently know. But I don't think the Bible or the churches have the correct answers.

Glory of CREATOR is that
by exWTslave inglory of creator is that he has given us life and life support systems to enjoy the life to the full.
yet he doesnt want any glory for that nor thanks from ushence he remains away.
that means his life (or style of functioning) is the message (making all communicationoral or written unnecessary).

Like others have advised, DO NOT get into a debate about this issue with an Elder. He is just a programmed JW robot spouting the typical guilt invoking nonsense. He has absolutely no power over you at all. Next time he tries to coax you into attending meetings, just reply by saying: 'Thank you for your concern but I'm perfectly happy with the situation as it is. I will let you know if anything changes.'. Then change the subject by wishing him a good day and say goodbye. If any further questions are asked, just say: 'I don't have anything to say about that.'. Keep us updated as to how things go the next time the Elder questions you.

Interpolated portions of the Bible are responsible for JW mistakes and arrogance
by exWTslave inbible is a mixture of truth and untruth.
(jeremiah 7:22; 8:8; act 20:28-30) everything that falls in harmony with our experience is truth.
for example, every action has equal and opposite reaction.

In my opinion, all of that is total nonsense, whether from JWs or other sources. Why continue to obsess about things written in some 2000+ year-old book of fables? There is absolutely no concrete proof that God, Jesus, Jehovah, Heaven or Hell even exist. There is no proof that ANYONE has ever survived the experience of physical Death. The way I see it, we have only ONE life, the life we are currently living. Nobody can know the future. So why worry about what may or may not happen. Live your life to the fullest NOW, and try to be as happy and fulfilled as possible. After we die, it is most likely THE END. So what???

My advice is to just ignore the elders TOTALLY!!! Who do they think they are to second- guess the police report? You nor your wife are under ANY obligation to 'explain yourselves' to those self-important nobodies. If they ask to speak with either of you or have a meeting concerning this matter, just respond with: 'This matter has been investigated and handled by the legal authorities. I have nothing else to say about it. I appreciate your concern but everything is under control.' End of discussion. Do not offer the Elders any more info about this subject.

The average jw is a victim of mind-control and subtle brainwashing. Ask ANY JW a question and their response will be an unthinking, prefabricated phrase straight from the pages of a Watchtower magazine or from an Elder, CO, or GB member. This is true no matter what part of the world you are in. The answers are ALWAYS the same! No original 'un-filtered' thinking allowed. Any question asked in a Watchtower will be answered word for word with what is printed in the paragraph. But, the only TRUE victims are the young children brainwashed at an innocent age. As for adult JWs, I see them as WILLING victims. Most choose to stay under cult mind-control and never question anything.

From A Bublical Point Of View Did You Ever Think The Trinity Doctrine Made Sense?
by minimus ini see no logic in it.
i see what appears to be some scriptural contradictions but i see no merit in a trinitarian view of god.. .

When and if I'm ever asked whether i think God is a Trinity, my answer will be: 'I personally don't give a rat's ass'. My view is that there may in fact be some sort of Ultimate Force that caused 'everything' to come into existence. But I don't think humans have the intelligence level at present to understand it. The churches certainly don't have the answers. Maybe in the future, when super-advanced intelligent machines have far out-stripped human intelligence, the answers might be found to what caused 'everything' to exist. But for now, I don't spend a second worrying about whether 'God' is a Trinity or not. I personally couldn't care less what the Bible has to say.

Bible - War in heaven - Satan cast to earth - Why?
by berrygerry inreading the oct 1 1953 wt about gog of magog because of the posts about the changes of identity.. basic question:.
why would satan (whether gog or not) be cast to the earth?.
why not cast him to quadrant 4 of the galaxy?.

I certainly HOPE that since this was published in 1953 even modern Witnesses can see the absolute silliness of such idle speculation. In my opinion, there is no 'Satan' nor is there a 'Jehovah', a 'Heaven' or any of that made-up Bible stuff. Most intelligent people today see the value in living life IN THE PRESENT, not in obsessing over Bible stories written thousands of years ago. Whatever is true or not true will be shown in due time, and we can't change the outcome either way, so why worry about it??? In my opinion, when we die it is THE END of us....we are dead and gone, forever. No Paradise Earth. No Heaven. That's all, Folks!! So live your live NOW, and find happiness to the best of your ability. That's my advice.

The GB members perfectly illustrate the 'Peter Principle'. They are 'organization men' who have by hook or crook have risen to the level of their incompetence. So now they are creating a cult of personality around themselves in order to feel self-important and cause the rank & file to hang onto their every pronouncement. Of course the average low-IQ Witnesses fall for this charade hook, line and sinker.

In your opinion: What would a teacher of the English language say about the way Anthony Morris III speaks?
by LogCon inconsidering the language, wording and grammar of anthony morris iii, if a teacher on the english language, at a prestigious university were to analyze anthony's public speaking, what comments and conclusions would they come to?
i say public speaking, because i would assume that an individual would be more careful with their words when spoken in public, than in private.
serious comments would be appreciated, however, i realize that outlaw and a few others are probably on a page of their own.. .

Anthony Morris (The Turd), when giving a public talk, exhibits the same level of true spirituality as a tree stump. Bigoted personal opinions, diatribes against gays and tight pants, idiotic stories. Nothing really uplifting or designed to make the listeners actually THINK. The same goes for other GB members. Their lack of education and human compassion is very evident. Notice this the next time you hear a GB member speak. Nothing spiritually uplifting at all. Just self- important rambling and guilt-tripping.

Several years ago, I was studying the Bible (JW literature) with an MS from the local congregation. I happened to mention that I had several pen pals who were incarcerated in various prisons. No matter what crimes they committed, I said I saw them as fellow human being who deserved to have a friend to write to. He told me that an Elder in a former congregation didn't believe in doing anything to help inmates because 'They are in there for a reason'. To me that showed a hard-hearted, indifferent attitude totally unlike the way Jesus would have treated an incarcerated person. This was one more incident that caused me to soon after stop studying. To this day, I continue to have long-standing penpal relationships with those prison inmates. I look at it as my own personal form of human-to-human 'ministry', and I don't 'count my time' while doing it.
